Well played, Roston Chase. He deserves that. The West Indies batsman has batted since the morning session in a losing cause and has reached a fifth Test century.

It's a lovely cut shot that gets him there.

Surrey Pigeon: Can we draw any clear conclusions from this England performance at all? Is win down to the balance of the squad following changes, bringing back Mark Wood or just simply having played better than the previous two Tests and could have won with the previous team?

England are giving Joe 'Denners' Denly a bowl!

The last time we saw Keemo Paul he was on a stretcher. He has torn his thigh muscle. I'm going to go out on a limb and say he won't be taking any quick singles. He is an all-rounder. He should be able to defend.

    Paul survives the first ball.

Roston Chase will start the next over on strike on 98. He's going to have to do it in boundaries.

The England players all look towards the West Indies dressing room to see if Keemo Paul is going to emerge.

    He does!

    West Indies are batting on.

It's a really stupid piece of batting.

A horrible shot from Gabriel. Why did he do that!?!

Gabriel's aggression proves to be his downfall. He gets a feather on a cut through to Jonny Bairstow. Ben Stokes makes the breakthrough.

    Target 485

Roston Chase bravely takes a single on the first ball to move one run closer.

Chase doesn't strike me as someone who lets his heart-rate get too high. He calmly watches Gabriel defend the rest of the over at the other end.

It would have been very easy for West Indies to roll over after James Anderson's three early wickets. I hope Roston Chase gets his century, he really deserves it.

  15. WI 235-8published at 66 overs

    Chase 96, Gabriel 3

England aren't over-attacking to Shannon Gabriel. There are just three slips and a gully. No short leg and no-one else close in. Should England be attacking more?

Now back to Roston Chase's quest for a century...

This one is a fine shot! A lovely drive through the covers from Chase.

He's onto 95 with another boundary.

Is there a gap between the stumps? How has this missed? Stuart Broad turns Roston Chase inside out but still can't get a wicket. The replays show it bounced just over.

He follows that with a four. Into the nineties Chase goes...

Another over down. Decent defence from Shannon Gabriel. It's actually getting a little dark.

That's one of the worse timed shots you'll see in cricket. Not one for the purists.
