Summary

  • England complete 232-run win, but lose series 2-1

  • Root declares after falling for 122; Stokes finishes 48 not out

  1. WI 224-8published at 64 overs

    Chase 86, Gabriel 3

Shannon Gabriel just can't help having a hoik. He's got a man not out on 86 at the other end but tries to whack Stuart Broad, a bowler with 437 wickets to his name, for a boundary. All he manages to do is get a thick inside edge over the infield to mid-wicket.

Broad's final delivery must hit a crack on the pitch. It moves a long way and Gabriel misses it comfortably. Broad kicks the turf in frustration.

It looks like Keemo Paul might bat after all. They've just shown him with his pads on in the dugout.

    Target 485

Keemo Paul has his pads on. He might be going to bat after all. Runners aren't allowed anymore, remember.

Chase knows he's going to have to get on with this if he's going to get a hundred...

Two fours end the over. He hasn't got the strike though.

  5. WI 213-8published at 62 overs

    Chase 78, Gabriel 0

It looks like Roston Chase is going to run out of partners before getting to a hundred. He can't get back on strike for the next over.

Stuart Broad by the way has only conceded 11 runs from 12 overs

  6. WI 213-8published at 61.1 overs

Shannon Gabriel averages 4.87. I don't mean to be rude but he's an old-fashioned rabbit.

England let him get off strike first ball...

  7. WI 212-8published at 61 overs

Shannon Gabriel is the new batsman. Still no Keemo Paul. England might only need one more wicket if Paul isn't going to bat.

  8. drinks break

    WI 212-8published at 60.5 overs

Why do they need a drinks break now?!

It was a comfortable catch for James Anderson.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 60.5 overs

    Joseph c Anderson b Moeen 34 (WI 212-8)

Not this time! Alzarri Joseph goes again and this time just skies the ball up in the air. Jimmy Anderson runs around from mid-on and takes the catch.

    Moeen Ali has another.

This is now more than frustrating for the England players.

Again! This one just clears Joe Denly at mid-wicket. Alzarri Joseph has 32 from 28.

  14. 6 runs

    WI 204-7published at 60.1 overs

This is now the highest partnership of the innings. Another six for Alzarri Joseph. It's a brilliant shot. England will be getting annoyed at this now.

    Breaking

We have news from the ICC following yesterday's incident between Shannon Gabriel and Joe Root.

    More when we get it...

He clearly didn't feel the bat on ball because he didn't review straight away.

  17. Not outpublished at 19:54 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

There's the tiniest of squiggles on Ultra-edge. Roston Chase has survived.

Judging by his reaction, he didn't know he'd hit it.

  18. Postpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

This could be one of the worse reviews of all times. I'll be surprised if it's not hitting middle of middle.
