Stephen Wilkinson: Don't think I've seen a worse fielder than Ashley Nurse in a professional cricket match. Horrific pair of hands.

  3. Eng 157-3published at 29.4 overs

Ben Stokes punches firmly at one from round the wicket and nicks it wide of the wicketkeeper for four.

A classical Test match dismissal but actually an effective shot with no slips in place in an ODI.

    Carlos Brathwaite yelps in anguish.

I'd enjoyed a text we received during the first ODI that said Jason Roy would average 50 in Test cricket as an opener but never see off the new ball.

I would like to see that.

Adam Jessop: Not many calling for Jason Roy to open in the red ball format tonight?

Arjun Singh: Roy should be given a chance in Test match cricket. He may fail now and again, but at least he may also score centuries.

  6. Eng 153-3published at 29 overs

    Morgan 70, Stokes 38

Ben Stokes taps round the corner and scampers two. Good running.

He then skips down the pitch to slash out to the man at deep point for one.

  7. Eng 149-3published at 28.1 overs

Sheldon Cottrell claimed two wickets in six balls earlier, finding a bit of swing.

He's back into the attack now...

...and Eoin Morgan greets him by cracking a low full toss through the covers for four.

  8. Eng 145-3published at 28 overs

    Morgan 65, Stokes 35

Jeez! Chris Gayle with a fine bit of work in the covers to save a run.

Decent start by Carlos Brathwaite, just three from the over.

Unsurprisingly, Jason Holder isn't going to let Chris Gayle get marmalised by Eoin Morgan for another over.

Carlos Brathwaite is into the attack for his first over.

Ddukkhaboy: Ashley Nurse and Chris Gayle add to the WI fielding as much as those miming backing singers did for Boney M’s harmonies.

  11. Eng 142-3published at 27 overs

    Target 290

Ben Stokes reverse sweeps and the ball dribbles along the ground to Ashley Nurse, who gets a raucous and sarcastic cheer for fielding it. Poor guy.

    Just three from the over.

  12. 6 runs

    Eng 139-3published at 25.2 overs

Not a smart idea to drop Eoin Morgan twice.

He's tucking into Chris Gayle now, slashing a four through the covers and then bashing with the wind over deep square leg for six.

  13. dropped catch

Morgan dropped on 51published at 24.5 overs

Readers from the first ODI will remember that Ashley Nurse cannot catch.

Eoin Morgan goes for the reverse sweep but laps it to Nurse at short third man.

It's low but Nurse gets there and fails to wrap his hands around it.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Morganpublished at 24.3 overs

Eoin Morgan rocks back and slices Devendra Bishoo through the covers for two.

That's 50 up for the England skipper. Another fine knock so far.

A quick tap of the gloves with Ben Stokes and on he goes. Work to be done.

Gayle slides one down leg and for some reason it's not called wide - Stokes even left it! The England all-rounder stares at umpire Gregory Brathwaite in astonishment.

Stokes taps a single and asks for an explanation, with the umpire appearing to suggest it brushed a pad.

England are content to just have a look at Gayle for now, knocking his first over for four singles.

    Hello.

Chris Gayle is going to have a bowl.

And he's going to keep his neon green sunglasses on to do it.

    Good testing over from Bishoo.

Intriguing battle between Stokes and Morgan and the West Indies spinners at the moment.

  19. Not outpublished at 22.1 overs

No spike as the ball passed the bat. Decision overturned.

And to rub it in, umpire Bruce Oxenford has to also call a wide.

Devendra Bishoo is not best pleased.
