I don't have any stats on this but I feel sure Morgan almost always gets a score when the other top-order batsmen fail (and vice-versa often gets a low score when the others go big). Can you check please?

Need 175 runs to win from 28 overs

Ben Stokes has slog-swept Ashley Nurse with the wind onto the roof the stadium.

    Huge hit.

It looks like the ball came to a rest in a gutter. Get those two groundstaff members up there again!

  5. Eng 107-3published at 21 overs

Much, much better from Bishoo. All those meetings must've helped.

The leg-spinner starts to get a bit of grip, threatening the pads of both England's left handers at the crease.

Stokes nearly whacks Gregory Brathwaite at square leg with a fierce sweep but the umpire ducks in time.

  6. Eng 106-3published at 20.2 overs

Another lbw shout against Morgan but again turned down.

  7. Eng 105-3published at 20.1 overs

Bishoo gets it onto Morgan's pads and the ball is then caught behind. Big appeal but nothing doing. The hosts decide against the review.

Replays show it hit the arm.

  8. dropped catch

Morgan dropped on 41published at 19.4 overs

Shimron Hetmyer nearly pulls off a stunner but down it goes.

Eoin Morgan whips it on the up through cover and Hetmyer dives a fair way to his left, getting two hands to it.

But the ball bursts through his mitts and down it goes.

A minute later young Shimron is still replaying the catch with his hands.

  10. Eng 103-3published at 19 overs

    Morgan 41, Stokes 19

Stokes works the last ball down the ground for a single to make it 11 from the over.

  11. Eng 102-3published at 18.4 overs

Crunch. Ben Stokes rocks back and slashes through extra cover for four.

Another meeting for the Windies. Devendra Bishoo is under immense pressure already.

  12. Eng 96-3published at 18.1 overs

And Ben Stokes late cuts Devendra Bishoo's first delivery away for four.

No fielder there. Jason Holder took a long time before Bishoo bowled to get the field right - he got it wrong and Stokes spotted the gap.

Spin from the Joel Garner end as well.

Here comes leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo for his first bowl of the match...

  14. Eng 92-3published at 18 overs

Ashley Nurse sneaks through a tidy over, just three from it.

While not the best start for England this is probably a situation the selectors and Morgan will want. A chance to see England perform under pressure chasing a small score

  16. 6 runs

    Eng 89-3published at 17 overs

    Morgan 40, Stokes 6

You can't bowl that length to Eoin Morgan.

Again it's short but not short or well-directed enough from Oshane Thomas and Morgan latches onto it, smashing a flat six over backward square leg.

  17. Eng 81-3published at 16.1 overs

Oshane Thomas bangs it in but not short enough and Eoin Morgan whips his wrists to pull it away for four.

  18. Eng 77-3published at 16 overs

    Target 290

Decent reply from Nurse, limiting Morgan to just three more runs off the over.

  19. 6 runs

    Eng 74-3published at 15.1 overs

Or indeed a team that has Eoin Morgan at the crease.

Terrific balance from the England skipper, going back in his crease to launch Ashley Nurse into the stands over wide long-on.

    Home run.

    Cheers Amy.

Who are you backing from here?

It's going to be a bit tricky for England but you can't rule out a team that still has Jos Buttler to come.
