I can understand why bowlers start to freeze when they face Buttler. You know that even just an inch in the wrong spot and you're going to be smacked into the stands.

Down the ground goes Jos Buttler and his wrists, and he adds another couple to the total.

Good running from these two, actually, and England sneak another two runs.

That has gone miles and miles and miles and miles.

    I mean.

Another length ball from Hasan Ali, and another meaty swipe over the leg side from Jos Buttler sends the ball about six rows back in the crowd.

    Wallop.

A single ends the over, and brings up the 100 partnership to boot.

That is a really difficult chance. Even if Imam had got a hand on it I don't think he would've been able to stop it going over the rope.

    Six - only just, though!

It's a slower ball from Faheem Ashraf and Jos Buttler has a thrash at it. Imam-ul-Haq comes running around but he can't get his hands to it, the ball bursting through fresh air and over the ropes.

  9. Eng 309-3published at 45.4 overs

Side note: have we always called that length on a pitch 'the slot'?

A misfield from Hasan Ali on the boundary draws some ironic whoops from the crowd, but Faheem's low full toss is only driven for a single.

That is right in the slot by Faheem. You've got to get it right into the feet or go wide outside off. Not there.

    There is no stopping that!

Eoin Morgan has hit this as sweetly as you like. It's right in the England captain's hitting zone and Morgan doesn't disappoint, hoicking it over long on for a big ol' six.

  12. Eng 300-3published at 45.1 overs

That'll be the 300 up, courtesy of a leg-side thump from Jos Buttler.

Jos Buttler is a ridiculous human being.

    Here's Faheem.

This is an incredible shot. It didn't even hit the middle of the bat but went an absolute mile.

Well. Jos Buttler's got under that one alright.

He looks a bit suspiciously at the end of the bat - he's actually toe-ended this huge heave, but it's made no difference. It's still a huge six, the ball flying over deep mid-wicket and into the stands.

  16. Eng 292-3published at 44.4 overs

Full, angling in, and Buttler's bottom-handed shovel is stopped at mid-on.

Same ball, same shot, nearly the same result, with Imam-ul-Haq doing the tidying up at extra cover.

    Morgan 51, Buttler 50

Eoin Morgan works a single off Hasan Ali to get Jos Buttler back on strike.

That is Eoin Morgan's 50th half-century for England in ODI cricket. He's turned 11 of them into centuries.

Excellent from Faheem Ashraf, taking the pace off the ball, and Buttler swings and misses at the last delivery.

That's a remarkable stroke because there was no pace on the ball. The power that Jos Buttler can generate in those wrists...wow.

It's a dangerous game just bowling to Buttler.
