Umpire Dharmasena just breathed a massive sigh of relief. England don't have any reviews left. It turned out to be a very good decision.

The partnership was just starting to frustrate England.

Paine lbw Leach 21 (Aus 200-6)

A very good decision by umpire Dharmasena. Three reds on ball tracking.

And a fine delivery by Jack Leach, pitching on leg and spinning back to go on to hit middle and leg.

Dhamasena must have been taking his time to judge where that pitched and got it spot on in the end.

Poor from Tim Paine - he didn't really offer a shot until it was far too late.

It took an age for the umpire to give this out.

  7. Australia reviewpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 15 September 2019

    Bizarre.

Jack Leach wraps Tim Paine on the pads as the Aussie captain goes back and misses.

A really long appeal, England just about to give up and then Kumar Dharmasena raises the finger!

    Paine reviews.

There are a few verbals going on out there. After tea the umpires got Jofra Archer and Tim Paine together and it was like they were in the naughty corner.

Matthew Wade can't have been a very good team-mate to Jofra Archer at the Hobart Hurricanes.

Or has his chirp this series just eroded any friendship that was there?

Two more bouncer from Archer. Two more ducks from Wade.

And then Archer gives him the stare down. A very long stare off, finally Archer turns back to collect his hat.

    SPICY.

Matthew Wade pulls Jofra Archer away for four.

Archer responds with a lively bouncer.

"Are you not going to try and pull that one," Archer says to Wade, giving him the stare.

Red Snappington: Leach: Nice guy, great team man and now a cult hero, but he's not a very good spinner. Moeen, with confidence restored, is much bigger threat with the ball on turning pitches...

  13. Aus 196-5published at 54 overs

    Wade 74, Paine 21

Another so-so over from Jack Leach.

Steve Smith finishes with 774 runs at an average of 110.57. He batted for 32 hours 18 minutes and faced 1,196 balls - almost 200 overs.

That is the joint-second most runs by a batsman playing four Tests in a series, level with Sunil Gavaskar's first Test series for India against West Indies in 1970-71.

The most ever runs by a batsman in four Tests in a series is 829 by Sir Viv Richards against England in 1976.

Sorry, Nick, but it's definitely going to be Smith over Cummins.

I'll let Andrew Samson show why...

Nick Mottram: Is it too early to start talking about man of the series.? I would say honourable mentions for Burns, Broad, Archer, Hazelwood & Labuschagne. But it's surely a two horse race.. my vote (albeit marginally) goes to Cummins over Smith.. the guy is just a specimen!

  17. Aus 194-5published at 53 overs

Better from Jofra Archer, tighter lines as he sends down a maiden, also beating Matthew Wade's bat.

That's two maidens in a row, can England keep building some pressure here?

  20. Aus 194-5published at 52 overs

Leach starts his spell with a maiden.

Paine goes back and nearly nicks a cut shot. Wasn't a great delivery but did keep a little low.
