There's a bit of pressure on Smith after Finch called him the best player in the world.

Steve Smith takes his time, counting the fielders one by one before taking his stance. A single off the final ball completes the over.
Aaron Finch will need a new bat. TV pictures showed him smashing it into the wall as he walked into the Aussie dressing room.

I've just seen Aaron Finch go into the dressing room. They might want to give him five minutes...
Boos as Steve Smith comes to the crease.
I'm sure he is used to that by now....

Great throw, great take, and there was just that millimetre of hesitation. That's a big blow for Australia.
Finch run out (Jadhav ) 36 (Aus 61-1)
Fine throw from the deep by Kedar Jadhav and Aaron Finch is out by a distance.
India think they have a run out. They celebrate like they have it!

Kuldeep Yadav is finding a nice bit of flight as he looks to tempt the Australian batsman into a big shot. The resist for now, though.
Shikhar Dhawan isn't on the field by the way. He took a blow to the thumb while batting so is taking in the match from the safety of the Indian balcony.

Kevin Rose: All the expensive technology available to make sure decisions are fair and they can't get the weight of the bails right.. makes a farce of that very notion...
The run rate is creeping towards eight an over, Australia need to get on with now.
India are offering them nothing at present though.

Mikey Smith: RE: Antony, London (15.39) I like the analogy but it doesn't really work. In this scenario, the ball was smashed towards the goal, but instead of hitting the back of the net despite being on target, an invisible forcefield stops the ball going across the line..
David Warner creams another Hardik Pandya delivery into the offside but it goes straight to Rohit Sharma. Not the first time he has found the fielder this innings.
Frustration growing....
David Warner isn't the only batsman to have a lucky escape. Aaron Finch was very nearly run out following some sharp fielding by Virat Kohli.

Finch is 31 off 30 now - India might be getting worried. When he gets in he can be devastating.
India respond by bringing on Kuldeep Yadav.
A two and a couple of singles off his first over. 50 up for Australia.
When something becomes a '-gate' you know you are in trouble.
This isn't the last we have heard about zinger bails, especially if Warner goes on to make a big score.

TOCFC: This is ridiculous and it’s making a farce out of cricket. The bails have to come off so either loose the pretty lights or shallow up the grooves.
Antony, London: No need to mess with anything, it's perfectly fine. In football, if a striker hits a ball towards an empty net, with no goalie or defender, but with insufficient power to actually make it across the line, no one would be calling for a goal. It just wasn't hit hard enough, tough biscuits, move on.
Hardik Pandya goes short again but it sits up for Aaron Finch to pull for six.
Next up the Aussie captain cuts square for four. Final ball of the over....and Finch is at it again with a another four through the covers!
Finally signs of life from Australia.
