Blimey. This was almost really nasty. Hardik Pandya marmalises one back down the ground that almost cleans up Coulter-Nile in his run-up. The bowler just manages to get his head out of the way.
I think the ball would have still gone to the boundary even if it hit Coulter-Nile's head, it was hit that hard.
Oh yes. That's trademark Virat.
He crunches Coulter-Nile on the up over extra cover with a truly sublime shot. He holds the pose with a little bit of arrogance too.
You can do whatever you like after a shot like that.
Kohli 51, Pandya 15
End of the over. Nine to go.
Here's a quick look back on that thumping shot from Dhawan earlier. It's dangerous being an umpire these days.

The second string Australia bowlers haven't really come to the party and allowed India to set this platform. Anything over 310 is going to be difficult to get for them.
Here we go! Some of the aggression I've been waiting for.
Hardik Pandya smashes Glenn Maxwell into the leg side with a good ol' slog sweep.
Hammered.
Yet another half-century for Virat Kohli. He just knocks this one into the leg side, leans on his bat and nods to appreciate the applause.
He wants more.

You can always tell when an Indian crowd is impressed. They gasp in unison like the audience at a good magic show.
Pandya connects fully with this one but picks out the fielder.
10 overs left. India need to kick on. Can they get to 350?

No value for short pitched bowling from the medium pacers. Hardik Pandya had all the time in the world and put it away nicely.
Not even Usain Bolt could have made up the ground to cut this one off. Pandya picks Coulter-Nile's slow bouncer and clubs it around the corner for four.

Australia have stuck in there - they have fielded well and thrown themselves about.
That's what you need when you face a big total - just keep going and hope the batsmen can knock it off.
Kohli 48, Pandya 2
That's another decent over for Australia. Five from it.
These two boundaries sum Kohli up today. He's got runs - 48 of them so far - but hasn't quite got going at full pelt. Neither of these two were middled.
The Australia fielders are doing well on the boundary. Nathan Coulter-Nile gets down low, sliding to deny Kohli another boundary.

As an England fan I can't work out who I want to lose more. I basically want the good players (Starc, Smith, Kohli, Bumrah etc) to do very badly, and the kinda rubbish ones to do well. And then maybe get rained off.

Pat Cummins is back for his eighth over.
A single each for these India batsman to start.
Kohli 44, Pandya 1
That was a good delivery from Coulter-Nile. It deserved a wicket. NCN has bowled well in the last few overs. We are all almost expecting Kohli to take him to the cleaners but it hasn't happened.
Pandya is dropped first ball! Nathan Coulter-Nile finds his edge and Alex Carey gets a good glove on the ball diving to his right but doesn't hold on.
That should have been taken.
India have promoted Hardik Pandya. He sprints to the middle and is greeted by a huge roar. Time for fireworks?

A great knock from Shikhar Dhawan. He was a little bit unlucky as it was there to be hit. He got a good piece of it but it went more height than distance and a good catch on the boundary.
