    Dhawan c sub (Lyon) b Starc 117 (Ind 220-2)

There'll be no more runs for Shikhar Dhawan today. He hits Mitch Starc up into the clouds but Nathan Lyon takes the catch a few yards in from the square-leg boundary.

    A brilliant knock is over.

I reckon that came back quicker than he sent it down. That went whistling past Mitchell Starc's nose.

  4. Ind 218-1published at 36.2 overs

That's dangerous! Mitchell Starc bowls a 93mph delivery at Shikhar Dhawan but the batsman pummels it back past his head.

The umpire's life flashes before his eyes.

    Four.

  5. Ind 213-1published at 36 overs

    Dhawan 112, Kohli 38

Woweeey. Shikhar Dhawan tries to hit Coulter-Nile out of the ground, charging at him like a raging bull. He misses the ball completely and almost gets bowled.

A rare false shot from the opener.

Even if India get 330 + I still think Australia will fancy it. Could be a cracker.

  7. Ind 212-1published at 35.4 overs

This is comfortably Virat Kohli's best shot today. The swats Nathan Coulter-Nile away with disdain. That's four. Don't bother chasing it.

It's not a done deal if you get a good start and when you have players like Mitchell Starc you can get quick wickets. So it's not the end of the world for Australia, but you can't let it get away from you.

  9. Ind 206-1published at 35 overs

    Dhawan 112, Kohli 32

I think India might have decided not to take too many risks against Starc and Cummins. There wasn't as much intent in that over than the previous one.

Will that change with Nathan Coulter-Nile bowling the next over?

  10. Ind 205-1published at 34.4 overs

That's another risky one! Dhawan now tries to ramp the ball over the wicketkeeper but for the second time in this innings doesn't get it quite right. Alex Carey scrambles back to try and make the catch but can't get there.

  11. Ind 204-1published at 34.3 overs

Mitch Starc has his lines right early. The crowd gasps in unison as Dhawan guides the ball just out of the reach of backward point for one.

  14. Ind 201-1published at 34 overs

Well on the evidence of that over, India have decided it's time to go. 11 runs from it.

Mitchell Starc is coming back for another spell. Virat on strike. Tasty.

Lovely shot by Shikhar Dhawan. He doesn't try to hit it too hard, it's pure timing.

  16. Ind 199-1published at 33.4 overs

Another boundary to Dhawan. He chips this high into the sky. It bounces just a couple of yards before the boundary edge before bobbling over.

  17. Ind 195-1published at 33.2 overs

    Shot!

Shikhar Dhawan hardly hits this but a little shovel lofts the ball over the infield and the ball skips away.

    Is this the charge?

That was Shikhar Dhawan's 17th one-day hundred, his fourth against Australia and third in World Cup cricket.

He averages 68 in England and it is his third ODI hundred in five innings at The Oval.

India's current run-rate is 5.75. They're surely going to look to increase that.

Kohli has 28 from 32 balls. He has played himself in. This was his first boundary...
