  1. Pak 25-1published at 6.3 overs

    Target 337

Four more! Flicked off the hips by Fakhar as Shankar drops short. The required run rate is 7.1 so Pakistan need to cut loose a bit.

  2. Pak 20-1published at 6 overs

    Target 337

I haven't sent my dad a card, that reminds me. He won't be bothered. He certainly won't be reading this.

Cracking shot to end the over as Babar rocks back on to the balls of his feet and thumps a square cut away for four.

Recognise the kid in the middle? it's a man who now has an end at Old Trafford named after him: James Anderson.

India have done a job on Pakistan. They ran between the wickets hard and now they are putting so much pressure on the Pakistan batting line up. In the next five or six overs they could finish them off.

  5. Pak 14-1published at 5.3 overs

    Target 337

It was a good decision not to review that wicket as it goes - pitched just in line and would have hit leg stump.

Bumrah remains a real threat from the other end, shaping the ball away from the left handed Fakhar.

John in London: Ali - Test cricket is more important than ODI cricket. Simples.

  10. Pak 14-1published at 5 overs

Babar Azam sees out the over. Pakistan need something truly remarkable from their number three.

The only thing potentially is that it could just have pitched outside leg stump but I don't think so. It just looked like Imam lost his balance.

Imam lbw Shankar 7 (Pak 13-1)

He's got a wicket with his first ball in World Cup cricket!

Vijay Shankhar sends one down, Imam plays at it early and it wraps the pads. There's a lengthy discussion between the batsmen but they eventually decide not to review. Looked a bit leg side...

Kumar is doing the right thing going off - I can't believe we are going to see him again today.

Vijay Shankar is going to complete the over. Mess up the scorecard for those who like order and regime. Like cricket scorers.

Just wondering if Kumar has done his hamstring - he is certainly holding it. He is having a look at the foot holes.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has hurt himself now. Fast bowling in temperatures like those in northern England at the moment is not an ideal match.

    He's going off.

  17. Pak 13-0published at 4.3 overs

    Woah! Woah, Ali.

Fantastic spell from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, he's tying Imam up in knots. So unlucky not to tease an edge as he whips one, rips one, past the bat.
