Run rate 6.62
Touch! A slower ball outside off and Virat Kohli deftly late cuts it fine for four.
Safaraz Ahmed is not amused. Poor ball from Wahab Riaz.
Kohli 71, Shankar 4
Shankar chips the first ball after the resumption over the covers for a single.
Wahab Riaz has the ball in hand, two deliveries left in his ninth over.
Vijay Shankar - who successfully overturned being given out caught behind the ball before rained stopped play - is on strike.

I'd suggest they'd be looking for two a ball for the rest of the innings - it's a good wicket.

A break like this you imagine should just help the fielding side. It's a bit of an interruption for the batting side.
Woo! Virat Kohli and Vijay Shankar are back out in the middle for India and Pakistan are taking up their fielding positions.
There are 20 balls remaining in the innings. What can India get from here?

Pakistan were going through some catching drills for quite a long time on the edge of the outfield as play was preparing to restart. Imad Wasim settled himself quite nicely under a few steeplers. Quite a lot of the crowd took the delay as a chance to grab an early lunch - which, er, is exactly what I did - but they're starting to filter back in now. A few of the India flags have got a little soggy in the deluge.

Pakistan know they will be facing a big score. Will they have learned from bowling on this pitch? You can go too hard too soon. You feel watching Pakistan they don't look confident in the field.
Put the kettle on - you have 10 minutes until play resumes. No overs lost.
There will be only 15 minutes between innings now.
There's about 100,000 international runs in this photo.

Actual blue sky at Old Trafford. There's a lot of pointing at the clouds going on, mind...
Thumbs up from Marais Erasmus and Bruce Oxenford!
Marais is rocking a natty pair of sunglasses under cloudy sides. Great work.
We'll be back under way soon.
Rohit Sharma was on one earlier - smacking 140 off 113 balls.
The hover cover is off the wicket and the stumps are going back in.
Umpires Marais Erasmus and Bruce Oxenford are out having a look at the condition of the field in the inner ring.
Sadly, Marais does not have his umbrella with him to practise his golf swing today.
Here are the four India wickets to have fallen so far...

The covers are slowly coming off. The last sheet is being dragged away and only the hover cover remains on the pitch.

Why is it that we only cover the run ups and square, why haven't we got one circular cover that could do the 30-yard circle and maybe a bit beyond?
