Pakistan have deserved this. They bowled better, kept the screws on, took early wickets. New Zealand fought back and well done to them for that, but I'm afraid the selections, I think, have cost New Zealand a little, and maybe some of the bowling hasn't quite been accurate and disciplined enough on what has been quite a difficult surface.

New Zealand had a good grip on this game until a couple of overs from Colin Munro and Kane Williamson swung it back in Pakistan's favour.

Trent Boult is going to replace Kane Williamson.

Martin Guptill didn't get near that.

    Target 238

New Zealand are starting to look a bit ragged.

A drive from Babar Azam goes through the hands of Martin Guptill at extra cover and Pakistan get a couple of bonus runs. He'd saved 31 runs in the field, in the tournament, prior to that according to an on-screen graphic.

    Four from the over.

Mitchell Santner, who caused Pakistan a whole heap of problems earlier, is going to come back on.

    New Zealand need wickets.

  7. Pak 179-3published at 39 overs

Offt. Beautiful again from Haris Sohail. This lad is a player.

It's a bit full from Kane Williamson and Haris' checked drive beats two fielders to the boundary.

Pakistan have scored 36 runs in the last four overs.

  8. Pak 173-3published at 38.2 overs

Kane Williamson is starting to drag them down a bit now.

Babar Azam misses out this time as his pull goes straight to the deep square leg fielder and they jog through for a single.

They can't allow Pakistan to run to victory with singles everywhere. They've got to try and create some sort of pressure, and it's this time of the innings that you start using those cutters that are difficult to hit.

They can pick up singles forever and a day now. There's no pressure.

Trent Boult responds well with two dot balls to end the over.

    Eight from it though.

Pakistan need 66 from 72 balls.

You can't bowl at that width!

Oh, wow. What a shot from Haris Sohail.

It's a bit wide from Trent Boult and Haris just slots him back over his head and just over the ropes for his second six.

There was a lovely flick of the back leg for good measure too.

The win predictor is 89-11 in Pakistan's favour.

Boult's coming back on. That's the right move.

New Zealand need a wicket and they're turning to Trent Boult to find one.

    Or two.

How this game has changed in the last couple of overs.

  18. Pak 164-3published at 37 overs

    Babar 72, Haris 27

Ten runs from Kane Williamson's over.

Why did he bring Colin Munro on? That over has completely shifted the momentum in Pakistan's favour. He didn't need to find an extra over from somewhere so I'm totally confused.

  19. Pak 162-3published at 36.4 overs

    Four more!

Short from Williamson and Babar just swivel pulls it to the square leg fence.

Very good stroke - just lovely rhythm to it, deliberate coming down the pitch. A bit of spiflication to it, whatever that means!
