I've fallen off my chair. That looked absolutely plumb.
England become men's world champions for first time after incredible final goes to super over
Eoin Morgan's men victorious by virtue of having scored more boundaries (super over was tied)
England batted first in super over - Stokes (8*) and Buttler (7*) post 15-0
New Zealand post 15-1 - Neesham 13, Guptill 1
Wood run out off final ball of England's innings, meaning scores were tied
Stokes (84*) and Buttler (59) put on 110 after England fell to 86-4 in chase of 242
Latham's punchy 47 lifts NZ to 241-8; Nicholls only NZ batsman to pass 50
Jack Skelton, Tom Rostance and Matthew Henry

Not even umpire's call. Over the top. Wow!

It's going over! What????!!!
Wow!
I take it back! The ball tracking says the ball was going over!
Henry Nicholls survives!

That is plumb. Nicholls is in so much trouble.
This is a BAD review.
Jeremy Coney
Ex-New Zealand captain on BBC Test Match Special
That is not going over the stumps.

Chris Woakes breaks through again! I don't think he hit it because he would've reviewed it straight away. That's a hoping-I've-got-away-with-it review.
Henry Nicholls pinned in front! LBW?
He's given out but reviews it...
Great decision. In real time that looked and sounded well out. Also good effort from England not to review that. The adrenaline is pumping.

Matthew R Cheek: Guptill has struggled all tournament, and looked nervous in the first over. I predict he will score 170.
The Corpulent Cricketers' Club: Guptill looks like he has had a few coffees.

This is where the review system really tests you. It was a great decision by Marais Erasmus though.
Martin Guptill's pads must be very hard, that made a big noise.
Howzzaatttttt!!!?!?!?!
England think they have Martin Guptill, there was a sound, but the umpire says no!
They all go up for the catch but decide not to review it. And the replays show that that was a great decision, it flicked off his hip. No bat involved.

Guptill is very fidgety.
Archer's first ball is a yorker and Henry Nicholls slams down on it, before Martin Guptill tries to scramble a single and is sent back.
Guptill is playing with all the cool and composure of Mr Bean.
Jofra Archer has ball in hand.

Matt Biggs: In the last month or so I’ve had job interviews and sat exams, through all of that I’ve not been even remotely as nervous as I am right now!

That was not far from flying straight to Ben Stokes. No control on the stroke.
Guptill gets some width and he drives through point for four! It was in the air and a bit out of control but safe enough. Chic plays out on the Lord's sound system.
Good times, indeed.

He's had such a bad tournament, he's just trying to whack his way into form. This could be dangerous for England if he gets a few off the middle.
