  1. Eng 17-0published at 6 overs

An excellent delivery from Trent Boult gets Dom Sibley playing and missing outside the off stump. That was the off-cutter I think. It kept pretty low and dribbled through to Tom Latham behind the stumps too.

Offt, that's a cracker. Boult drops shorter and it raps Sibley on the gloves. He plays it well, in fairness, as he drops it just off the square.

    New Zealand look reasonably threatening.

That's better from Rory Burns though as he rides the bounce well and cuts through the covers for a couple.

  3. Eng 14-0published at 4.5 overs

Hmm, Rory Burns doesn't look too comfortable at the moment.

He gets a leading edge on Southee's latest delivery and it goes through the slip cordon and away for four. Streaky.

Pakistan's Babar Azam has brought up a century against Australia as the tourists continue to battle hard in Brisbane. They're 123 runs behind with five wickets in hand. The full scorecard is here.

Could they? Nah, probably not... but you never know!

  5. Eng 9-0published at 4 overs

A solid over of defence from Rory Burns.

Trent Boult rubs his eyes in disbelief, after the final delivery, as Burns leaves and the ball goes over the top of the stumps. It was an excellent leave, on length, though from Burns.

I don't understand why Watling needs a substitute - he's scored 205 and showed no signs of injury. He's probably pretty tired but I don't think that comes within the laws of cricket.

Dom Sibley picks up a couple with a flick down to fine leg.

Tim Southee only made Sibley play from two of the six deliveries in that over - he'll want to test the debutant's technique more in the coming overs.

Dom Sibley pulls away just as Tim Southee was getting into his delivery stride.

A member of staff has got too close to the sightscreen and disturbed the England opener.

The offender sits back on his bean bag, red-faced, and holds his hand up in apology.

These two can play their natural games - just bat time and take the scoreboard out of it.

Chance! Trent Boult squares Rory Burns up and the left-hander edges just short of Colin de Grandhomme at second slip.

Just another 115 overs to go for England...

Tim Southee is getting some good carry through to the keeper. It just shows what freshness can do.

  15. Eng 3-0published at 1 over

An excellent diving stop at mid-on prevents Dom Sibley getting off the mark before he shoulders his arms to a wide one.

Like in the first innings, Sibley brings up his first runs with a clip to the mid-wicket fence.

  16. Eng 3-0published at 0.2 overs

Rory Burns gets off the mark with a clip through mid-wicket for three.

    Nice shot.

One of the groundsmen has come on and put some earth in the hole where the stump lies and we're ready to go again.

Bruce Oxenford whacks the stump back in using Rory Burns' bat handle.

    What is going on here?

The off stump is all of a sudden higher than middle and leg stump so they're not even.

How on earth has that happened in the last 10 minutes while we've been off the field?
