    Roy c Ngidi b B Hendricks 70 (Eng 132-3)

    A very odd dismissal.

Beuran Hendricks bangs a slower ball down very short and the ball sits up wide outside off.

Jason Roy goes to fetch it but is through the shot too early and can't generate enough power on the ball, instead top edging it round the corner to Lungi Ngidi at short fine leg.

    Roy 70 off 37 balls

Jason Roy has absolutely walloped Beuran Hendricks' first ball through mid-wicket for four.

    Tremendous power.

England need 50 from 36 balls.

    Can South Africa fight back?

Left-arm seamer Beuran Hendricks is finally entering the fray.

    Shamsi 4-0-25-0

And Eoin Morgan has marmalised Tabraiz Shamsi through wide long-on for four.

The South African spinner spoils his last over with a half-tracker and Morgan doesn't miss out.

Jason Roy targets deep mid-wicket but just miscues for one.

Tabraiz Shamsi has bowled very well but just has one ball left.

    Tight over so far.

Not that Eoin Morgan is likely to make sure Jason Roy gets enough of the strike to bring up his ton, mind.

A single off the last from the England captain.

Dale Steyn has a strong return to international cricket - 4-0-33-1.

That's so very good from Jason Roy.

A ball on off stump but he generates so much power from his wrists to flick it through mid-wicket for four.

Time for Roy to get a hundred here?

Dale Steyn is back on for his final over.

  13. Eng 113-2published at 12 overs

    Roy 60, Morgan 15

A beauty from Tabraiz Shamsi as he gets a leg-break to really bite past Eoin Morgan's outside edge.

Elsewhere, Morgan and Roy continue to find gaps to tick the scoreboard over.

And now Phehlukwayo serves up a poor ball down the leg side that Morgan helps on its way for four more.

Bang! Eoin Morgan breaks the shackles, backing away to cut it forcefully through point for four.

  17. Eng 99-2published at 10.4 overs

Andile Phehlukwayo continues to pose problems and Jason Roy's solution is to try and scoop it over the keeper.

He has to improvise when the ball isn't there to hit but manages to, picking up one to short fine leg.

We reckon Eoin Morgan is wearing his World Cup pads, when England had sky blue trousers.

They're lucky I guess. He'd be getting fined for having the wrong kit if he wasn't the captain.

Top over by Tabraiz Shamsi, conceding just three singles.

England ahead of the rate at halfway but can they avoid the collapse that South Africa had?
