So after England's 98-run win over Thailand earlier and Pakistan's eight-wicket victory over West Indies, Group B is wide open...

Four teams have two points - England lead on net run rate, followed by Pakistan, West Indies and South Africa, with Thailand bottom after two defeats.

Pakistan and South Africa of course have a game in hand.

Group B resumes on Friday when South Africa play Thailand and England face Pakistan.

West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor: "When you look at the total and the type of batters we have, we should be scoring over 150. So far we haven't been doing that.

"The batters need to be accountable and take responsibility. We spoke about how hard we want to go in the first six overs but there were combinations where we were lacking.

"It was hard to build partnerships. It was nice for me and Shemaine Campbelle to get us up to that target but we kept losing wickets.

"The bowling has been terrific. Not to take anything away from Pakistan, they batted fantastically well.

"As batters we need to come out and show our prowess."

Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof: "It was a very great win. We wanted to get this win to get the momentum going into the rest of the World Cup.

"We picked up wickets at crucial times to restrict them. We put them under pressure - our aim was to restrict them under 135 and then our openers batted really well.

"We are smart cricketers and need to stick to our strengths. Nida Dar came in and we just had to rotate the strike and finish the game for us.

"It was a very important win, we need the momentum. It will boost our team and we're looking forward to the rest of the matches."

And fittingly it was Bismah who hit the winning runs...

Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof also did a superb job, ending unbeaten on 38 off 37 balls.

Her side could've wobbled once the openers fell but she kept to her task, tapping the singles and hitting a few boundaries to release the pressure.

Javeria Khan may have been quick to praise her team-mates but her 35 off 28 balls, including six fours, got Pakistan's chase off to an ideal start.

It eased her side's nerves and meant those coming in later could just keep the scoreboard ticking over without needing to find the big shot.

  9. Player of the matchpublished at 11:04 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2020

Pakistan opener Javeria Khan: "I'm surprised I got the award - I thought Diana Baig would get it for the start she gave us. It was a real team effort.

"We've worked a lot on our fielding and running between the wickets so I'm glad it paid off today.

"My aim was to charge because I thought it would get tough at times so I was trying to charge to get us off to a good start or give the middle order a lot of overs if I got out early."

What a game! Everybody thought West Indies would win easily, but Pakistan have proved everybody wrong.

  12. Postpublished at 11:02 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2020

West Indies were just not on it at all today.

Slow batting to start their innings and poor strike rotation, leaving themselves too much to do in the final five overs.

And then they turned to spin far too late, after Paksitan had established a solid platform against ineffective seam bowling.

They were also sloppy in the field. Plenty to ponder for Stafanie Taylor and her side.

A terrific effort from Pakistan, lovely to see that celebration from the captain. She was busy at the crease and controlled the innings.

Fittingly, Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof skips down and square drives to the fence for four to win the game.

    Sums up West Indies' day.

A big hit from Nida Dar out to deep mid-wicket but not big enough to clear the fence.

    Pakistan pick up one.
