  1. dropped catch

Knight dropped on 51published at 16.3 overs

    Eng 127-3

Bismah to bowl another over, will it be another over of pies? It's certainly effective in terms of keeping the runs down - but Pakistan will rue another drop, this time Knight is shelled at short fine leg.

Classic Heather Knight. What an innings.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Heather Knightpublished at 16 overs

    Eng 124-3

And that's fifty, from 39 balls - via a sweep to short fine leg. Yet again, the England captain and BBC Sport website columnist gets to raise her bat around Manuka Oval.

I wouldn't put that down as a drop. It was hit like a cannon.

  5. dropped catch

    CLOSE!published at 15.4 overs

    Eng 123-3

Knight whacks one straight back at the bowler, it would have been a "worldie" catch if it had stuck - but those sorts of chances either stick, or they don't.

Knight guides another four through cover point and is one away from another half-century.

I can't remember a [women's] tournament in the last three or four where the fielding has been this bad.

  7. Eng 119-3published at 15.1 overs

That projected score of 150 looks quite a way off, but Heather Knight is closing on a half-century - slog-sweeping Diana Baig but the fielder at deep mid-wicket lets it go straight through her for four.

This is one of those stumpings you can watch again and again.

    Please do.

  9. Eng 115-3published at 15 overs

    Knight 41 (33 balls), Wilson 13 (13)

Captain Bismah Maroof on to bowl some part-time spin, wearing her cap. She tosses up an absolute moon ball which Knight tries to slog through mid-wicket, but gets a bottom edge and it loops over the keeper!

Some rather filthy, loopy bowling of the sort which gets wickets in village cricket every Saturday - but somehow England can only take five singles from the over.

  10. Eng 110-3published at 14 overs

So, a life for Heather Knight. How Pakistan might regret that, as England help themselves to more ones and twos.

    Six overs left.

The fielding in this World Cup has been abysmal.

  12. dropped catch

Knight dropped on 32published at 13.3 overs

    Eng 106-3

I've lost count of how many catches have been put down today. Knight takes aim at cow corner, it goes through Umaima Sohail's hands - and over her head for a first-bounce four. Had she stayed on the rope, it might have been out? But it's been a risky business today predicting which chances will be taken and which won't.

  13. Eng 101-3published at 13.1 overs

Wilson reverse-sweeps Nida for four as England start the over well.

  14. Eng 97-3published at 13 overs

Wilson savagely clubs a two to deep mid-wicket, and knocking a single into the covers takes her to five from seven balls.

A busy over for England ends as Knight - whose power hitting has improved immeasurably in the last year or two - goes on the back foot and hammers another four, cross-batted, between mid-off and extra cover. She has 32 from 26 balls on what must be her favourite T20 ground.

  15. Eng 90-3published at 12.3 overs

Sadia Iqbal is bowling straight through at the Manuka End as the twilight sky above Canberra turns a rather exquisite purple-orange colour. Fran Wilson pulls a single to deep square leg, Heather Knight rocks back to guide one to the cover sweeper.

  16. Postpublished at 08:54 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2020

    Alex Hartley
England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

Fran Wilson is one of the world's best players against spin. If she can improve her hitting down the ground, she'd be a regular fixture in the England side.

  17. Eng 87-3published at 12 overs

Fran Wilson in at five for England - holding her bat high as the bowler runs in, just as her captain Heather Knight does. She's off the mark with a single to deep extra cover. But Knight does well to square-drive for four (her 17th of the tournament), while a chip over square leg takes her to 26 from 23 balls.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11 overs

Sciver st Sidra b Aliya 26 (Eng 81-3)

Sidra Nawaz, take a bow. A legside stumping of which now-retired England wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor would be proud.

The wicketkeeping in this tournament has been world-class - in contrast to the outfield catching, which has been patchy at times.

Brilliant work from the keeper! Sciver knows she's in trouble here.

  20. Umpire reviewpublished at 11 overs

Aliya flings one down the leg side, it'll be a wide but it looks like Sciver has been stumped...
