  1. Ind 71-1published at 8.1 overs

Kavisha Dilhari, who's dropped one and caught one today, is Sri Lanka's fifth bowler - Verma rocks back on the back foot and crashes a four to the unprotected (why?) cover boundary.

The win predictor has India at 99%. Understatement.

This is what NOT to do when Shafali Verma is batting - and you're fielding.

I don't like this field. The tougher shot for Kaur here is down the ground, not on the sweep.

  4. Ind 67-1published at 8 overs

    Need 47 from 72 balls

Kaur's in the zone now, slog-sweeping her fellow skipper Atapattu for four more.

Having started slowly, she suddenly has 15 from 11 balls. Verma has 34 from 25.

  5. 6 runs

    Ind 63-1published at 7.4 overs

Full toss, a juicy pie of a delivery, Harmanpreet Kaur hoists it over square leg and it nearly hits a robotic camera whizzing around the fence! That's six.

  6. Ind 57-1published at 7.3 overs

Verma - now second on the tournament's leading run charts behind England skipper Heather Knight - has to pull out the full-length dive when she pushes Atapattu for a quick single.

Kaur then shows her class with a cut for four.

  7. Ind 52-1published at 7 overs

    Target 119

Harmanpreet Kaur drills a single to long-on to get off the mark. Verma rotates the strike, and Prabodhani has 1-10 from three overs, but India have found easy pickings against the other bowlers.

I'm not sure there's any doubt that India are going to chase this target down. It's possibly just a question of how long it will take them.

Here's some glorious hitting from Smriti Mandhana before she perished:

  9. Ind 50-1published at 6.1 overs

Prabodhani is the only Sri Lanka bowler who's been able to show a hint of containment so far, and she gets a third over. Verma brings up the fifty with a single.

  10. Ind 49-1published at 6 overs

    Verma 31 (21 balls), Kaur 0 (3)

A single means Verma has 31 from 21 balls. The crowd are loving it.

I'm still in awe of the four and now she's hit that six!

  12. Ind 48-1published at 5.4 overs

    Bang. Bang. Bang.

Shafali Verma tucks into Siriwardena for a back-foot punched four, a massive straight six and then another four down the ground.

14 from three balls. The 16-year-old has no fear.

This was the opening four from Shafali Verma which Snehal Pradhan wanted to watch all day:

  14. Ind 34-1published at 5 overs

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur in at three - clearly she has no fears about facing Prabodhani's left-arm seam, as she's wearing a cap rather than a helmet.

It's an interesting debate - if Kaur was English (or playing in English competitions, as she has in the KSL), she wouldn't be allowed to do that, as the ECB has made helmets compulsory in professional cricket under their jurisdiction.

She just completely lost her shape on that shot, trying to hit against the swing.

  16. wicket

    Mandhana c Dilhari b Prabodhani 17 (Ind 34-1)

Having had a lot of success hitting over mid-off, Mandhana tries to hit over mid-on, but picks out the fielder - it's Dilhari, who had dropped Verma in the second over.

This might not even take India 15 overs.

  18. Ind 33-0published at 4 overs

Captain Chamari Atapattu brings herself into the attack to bowl some off-spin, and it's relatively successful as the over yields just two singles from the first five deliveries... but Mandhana then reminds us of her talents with another lofted off-drive for four.

  20. Ind 27-0published at 3 overs

    Verma 14 (10 balls), Mandhana 12 (8)

This game could be done in 10 overs at this rate. Smriti Mandana whacks Sandeepani down the ground for back-to-back fours, the second an exquisite lofted off-drive which bounces just once in front of the rope.

Where do you bowl to these two when they're in this mood? Wherever you choose, you really have to take your catches.
