Sam Billings is coming out with a lot to do, especially with Bairstow struggling to find his rhythm out there.

Sam Billings is the new man, raising a few eyebrows when he got the nod as first reserve for England's top six.

You do fear it could unravel quickly for England here.

My word, he's caught it by the skin of his teeth. I don't think he saw it and thought it was going for six, his team-mates were shouting at him. It's a great recovery to take the catch.

    Buttler c Labuschagne b Zampa 1 (Eng 57-4)

Incredible catch! Huge blow to England! Game over?

Jos Buttler tries to take Adam Zampa downtown, but doesn't get all of it. Marnus Labuschagne comes off the long-off boundary and dives full length, taking an absolute ripper inches off the turf.

It's a magnificent catch, but not the greatest shot from Buttler in the circumstances.

Australia are cockahoop, not only because of the catch, but because of who it dismissed.

Karaoke Tony: Australia all over us... luckily we've got the best white ball batsman in the world still in the shed. Any score gettable with Buttler!

    Target 295

Mitchell Starc is on the boundary, having his spikes seen to by someone who likes like Nathan Lyon. I say 'looks like', because I can't be sure. He's wearing enough layers to give the Michelin Man a run for his money, sporting a huge beard under a woolly hat. He looks like he's going on a polar expedition, not sub fielding.

I've lost count of how many times Hazlewood has beat the bat today.

  8. Eng 55-3published at 15.1 overs

    Target 295

Hazlewood to continue. I wonder if the wicket affected that decision. He's beaten Bairstow again. Standard.

If England can build a partnership, there's plenty of batting there to be able to reach the target. Morgan and Bairstow looked like they were just getting started.

It's looking a tall order for England now.

  11. Eng 55-3published at 15 overs

    Target 295

Jos Buttler is the new man. The last time England played Australia in an ODI on this ground, he dragged them to a remarkable win. They need more of the same today.

    James Anderson
England bowler on Test Match Special

It's a poor shot from Morgan, he gets cramped for room, he doesn't have the width to play the pull shot. It didn't spin, it wasn't a fantastic ball.

Morgan can barely drag himself away. It was short of a length, it wasn't much of a ball.

    Morgan c Maxwell b Zampa 23 (Eng 55-3)

Imagine coming through that examination by the pace bowlers then shovelling the leg-spinner to mid-wicket. That is exactly what Eoin Morgan has done.

It's s long-hop, really. Morgan struck it well, but straight to Glenn Maxwell.

Drowned in honey. Real bonus for Australia.

There was one out the back of the ground, past B&Q and up to the big roundabout where the pub is. As you might be able to tell, I can't remember the name of the chippy, or the pub. Morgan is running at Zampa here...

Ian Lowe: Proximity to the football ground means there a plenty of chippies to choose from at OT - just maybe not the best.

Some respite from the pace. Leg-spinner Adam Zampa is on.

There are signs of England building a partnership here. Morgan and Bairstow are getting a little bit of a foothold.

This might finally be the end of Hazlewood. 14 from the over. For the first time, England do not feel like they have an elephant sitting on them.

    Take that!

Morgan down the pitch, inside out over extra cover, all the way for a maximum.

    England moving.
