    The TV coverage has just started and there's two words to describe the scene at the Ageas Bowl: disgusting and grim.

    The covers are on, the floodlights are on, and there's drizzle in the air.

    There is practically no chance of us starting at 11.

    There were the tiniest few spots of rain in the air when I went outside for my daily temperature check just after 10am.

    That will likely be why the covers are on but I wouldn’t have thought it was heavy enough to delay play.

    Light is going to be an issue again today.

    I know a lot of you think we should be live texting the first ball now - or should have done at least half an hour ago.

    Sadly we're not and we'll be waiting till at least 11 for that.
