Has Azhar nicked this? Given not out. There was a noise but I am not overly convinced.

Ross: May as well switch off the cricket until Jimmy's back bowling. He’s getting all 10 this innings, everyone else is wasting energy.
Bob, being fickle is a part of a cricket fan's DNA.
Archer reaches the naughty nineties as he sends in a short ball at 92mph, Fawad ducking well to get out of the way.
Cor, that was quick.

Bob: We're a fickle bunch. Only a couple of weeks ago we were questioning this England team, Anderson was too old, we couldn't score enough runs, then we couldn't bowl or catch. I feel a little bit ashamed.

The ball is 27 overs old now and I wonder if there'll be a flatter period where the batters settle in, like in the first innings.
Azhar 20, Fawad 11
Great point, Jack. Aatif Nawaz spoke about this on TMS earlier today, Fawad seemed to just fall out of favour with the Pakistan administration over the years. But there was only so long they could ignore his first-class runs.
A bit of an inconsistent over from Chris Woakes, but he does tempt Azhar Ali into playing a couple outside the off stump.

Jack Olsburgh: Fawad Alam’s first-class career average is seriously impressive (56+). Why has it taken so long for him to get a recall?
I know it's been discussed thoroughly but I just can't get over Fawad's stance. Like Ebony, I'm a fan. I was always fascinated by the way Kim Barnett stood at the crease back when I was growing up.
Archer struggles with his line again, although he does square Fawad up with one angled into the body. It was much quicker that one, 88mph.

For bio-secure reasons, all of the fridges in our hotel rooms have been removed (my room also doesn't have a hairdryer, but that's another story). However, there is a fridge in the sound engineers' room, where Aggers has stored his cheese. I've no idea what it is, or where it comes in the maturity stakes, but it is creating an odour that is lingering over the entire BBC corridor.

I like Fawad's technique; it's different and quirky.
Pakistan trail by 527 runs
Chris Woakes has a stray lock of hair not quite held back by his black headband. My OCD is going into overdrive.
Fawad digs out a full ball and Pakistan take a quick single. There's slight hesitation between the batting pair but they make it in safe. The last thing the tourists need right now is a dodgy run out.
Woakes finds the edge of Fawad's bat and the ball squirts through to the third man boundary, some fine fielding from Rory Burns stops the four.
A decent over from Woakes.

Jofra Archer seemed to go up a gear last night; he bowled really quickly. He's not bowling as quickly so far today.
Azhar 17, Fawad 5
Archer misses his line and length and Azhar easily clips through mid-wicket for four. A loosener to kick things off for the England seamer.
He goes in full, Azhar gets into a bit of tangle and is struck on the pads. There's an appeal from Archer and a couple of the slip cordon but Joe Root decides not to use England's last review. A good call, it was going down leg and missing all three stumps.
Archer is bowling at around 80-85mph.

Pakistan supporters will want to see some resistance, even if they can't win the Test.
Great stuff, Amy.
It will be Jofra Archer with the second over after lunch.
That's quite enough from me - Kal Sajad will take you to tea.

Chris Woakes has dismissed Azhar Ali five times in just over 180 balls, conceding just 74 runs in that time. Azhar averages 14.8 against him.
Trail by 538
A bit of luck for Azhar Ali as he gets his bat down on a delivery that seems to scuttle along the pitch - but it was a rare no ball from Chris Woakes!
Azhar leans on a drive that is well hauled in by Ollie Pope, and that's a tidy sort of over for everyone.

Azhar doesn't like facing Chris Woakes too much - he tends to get out lbw to him a lot.
