In all seriousness, what if someone drops a catch off Jimmy in his first over?

I wonder if he'll play himself in again, I wonder how that will all work.
Correctly, Azhar Ali is walking back out to bat, accompanied by Shan Masood.
Things that age well: wine, whisky, Jimmy Anderson. Oh, and Jimmy Anderson's hair.

Olly Moore: There’s never been a bowler more unimpressed with a five-wicket-haul.
Yep, Jimmy's picked a new ball.

I can see Jimmy selecting a new ball so we can assume from that they will follow-on. The light actually looks OK.
Azhar Ali walks off, unbeaten on 141. What a performance from the Pakistan captain.
I'm assuming England will enforce the follow-on. Pakistan still trail by 310.

It's not his 600 but it is another to add to his tally. It took some getting. He's almost got a smile on his face.
Naseem c Sibley b Anderson 0 (Pak 273)
Someone's held a catch off Jimmy!!!!
A regulation catch for Dom Sibley at second slip, but given the farce we've seen recently, that doesn't mean anything. Jimmy looks marginally less furious but he's walking off with 5-56 for his name, and it really should have been more.
He's just two wickets away from that 600 wicket margin.

It started off as Anderson's day but it's degenerated badly.
Jimmy beats Naseem Shah with five deliveries in a row...
He's still angry.

Oh, is it? You're right, I think it is Bracey. Poor Jack.

I think it's James Bracey.
Azhar Ali leaps onto a short ball from Jofra Archer and pulls it away for four.
It does mean Naseem Shah will have to face a few deliveries from Anderson.

Something extraordinary has happened. Stuart Broad has gone off and I think Jack Leach may be on the field. For the first time before Christmas. Thank goodness for that.
Hmm. Left shin problem for Broad?

Let's say Pakistan are bowled out in the next five minutes, and you're Azhar Ali who is so set against the new ball, do you come out and open the batting? I would if I were him.
Stuart Broad has headed off the pitch - he's touching his lower leg a little awkwardly - and Jofra Archer is coming on.
