There's cloud cover, a new ball, the spectre of Jimmy Anderson hunting for a five-for and 600 Test wickets...
Yeah, I'd rather be sat in the dressing room than stood out in the middle, I think.

There's cloud cover, a new ball, the spectre of Jimmy Anderson hunting for a five-for and 600 Test wickets...
Yeah, I'd rather be sat in the dressing room than stood out in the middle, I think.
Here we go.
Very few of Azhar's many runs today have come straight down the ground. A sign of how slow the pitch is, perhaps?
A nicely-timed clonk down the ground adds three runs to Yasir Shah's total, before Azhar Ali carves the final ball of the over away square for four.
New ball time, please.

I reckon Jimmy Anderson is perfectly fine. I would suggest, with Jimmy on 597 Test wickets, and with Pakistan six down, and with the new ball to come, he'll be fine.

I hope Jimmy Anderson is fully fit, he's been off the field a couple of times today.
The new ball will be available after this over.
It was Chris Woakes who broke that massive partnership between Azhar and Rizwan.

Joe Root is laughing, he realises he was a bit wide at first slip and goes a bit finer now.
Edged - for four!
Not sure Yasir Shah knew to omuch about that as he pushes forward at Dom Bess and a thick outside edge goes past stumps, keeper and Joe Root at slip. Ouch.

That has really stung his hand. That is so painful. It doesn't matter how thick and protected the gloves are, if you get it on the end of your fingers then it's a real nasty one.
Azhar Ali is early onto a Chris Woakes short ball, but he can only hustle it away for one.
Now then. A bit of a grimace from Jos Buttler, who is down on his haunches. He's just taken a delivery from Woakes right on the tips of his fingers, which looks horribly painful.
Here's the moment Azhar Ali reached a superb Test century.
Azhar 106, Yasir 4
It doesn't look much darker to me. Admittedly, I am watching on a TV in Manchester.
Azhar Ali, perhaps anticipating that Yasir Shah won't last too long, sees out most of this Dom Bess over.

It was just a hat being brought down by Mike Burns, a new hat for Michael Gough.

The fourth umpire Mike Burns is coming down the steps. It might be the second new ball. Or it might be the light meter.
Yasir Shah gets himself off the mark with a walloping cut through point, before he's beaten all ends up by Chris Woakes.

It's got a little bit gloomy, the dreaded light meter will be out in a second I imagine. We're supposed to go through for another two hours yet.
Yasir Shah is the new man.
This could be... brief.

It's a gift really, Rizwan had played so well though. He's a real fighter, a gritty character. Pakistan have a wicketkeeper-batsman who can have a lot of success over the next few years.
