Fakhar and Babar were very important to the innings. They set it up beautifully before Hafeez finished it off in perfect style.

His captain had given Pakistan an excellent platform with 56 from 44 balls before he departed in the 13th over.
James Anderson
England bowler on BBC One
England were predictable with their bowling and field settings. Going short is usually a good tactic at Old Trafford with the big square boundaries. Pakistan were set up for it and we saw a lot of baseball shots. England were a little slow to react.
Some fantastic strokeplay from 39-year-old Hafeez in his 93rd T20. Evergreen.

Cassini: Trying to work out the percentage of how much this score is between poor English bowling and great Pakistani batting...
Michael Vaughan
Ex-England captain on BBC One
Hafeez played the perfect T20 innings. England didn't seem to get their lengths right.

Martyn Thompson: International teams should be capable of scoring 200+ at @EmiratesOT its the best pitch in the country....don’t write England off yet!

It was a good finish from Tom Curran - seven from the final over - but it is a very good total.
It was a very professional performance from Pakistan.
That's some target for England, 9.80 per over.
Phil Tufnell
Ex-England spinner on BBC One
Could that innings be the match-winner? Hafeez has put his side in a fantastic position.
Hafeez c Morgan b Curran 69 (Pak 194-4)
Just 36 balls for that fine innings, with five fours and four sixes. One final flourish but it loops off the bottom of the bat to cover.

The ramp is definitely on if Iftikhar has it in the locker...
Curran with the final over and Pakistan have equalled the highest score for a T20i at Old Trafford.
Pak 188-3
It's a dropped catch from the captain. Harsh perhaps - it was a fine leap but he couldn't hold on with his one-handed attempt at extra cover and Hafeez survives, gaining a single in the process to keep the strike.

We haven't seen enough yorkers from England.
Hafeez has got 63 from 31 balls.
Michael Vaughan

Magnificent strike. The cutters are just not working for England.
You would have thought England would have learned by now to bowl the yorker.

Jim Dale: Long hops. Full tosses & half volleys. Pakistan are good. The deck is flat...but it doesn’t help if you bowl rubbish. Mahmood has a lovely action, but always goes round the park. Gregory is never an international cricketer. Curran hasn’t progressed.
Fetch that one, Granville. Jordan drops short again and Hafeez helps it into the stands at mid-wicket.

Ex-England captain on BBC One
It is a bit of chaos out there.
