Powerplay complete for Surrey at The Oval and Hashim Amla (22 not out) and Jason Roy (25 not out) have negotiated it without losing a wicket.

Cricket in October you say?!

Well, sadly we're not in the Southern Hemisphere or the sub-continent for this particular bit of action, instead we're well and truly welcoming in autumn right here in England and still playing the game when most county cricketers are normally putting their feet up or heading off on post-season holidays.

What has the forecast got in store for both the afternoon and evening in our four quarter-finals?

Sussex have won the toss at Hove and elected to bowl first.

The Sharks finished second in the South Group and were fortunate to be drawn out of the hat with a home tie.

Lancashire stuttered through the back end of their North Group campaign but finished second there as well.

The Lightning welcome back Keaton Jennings after he missed the last four matches with a calf injury.

Sussex Sharks: Phil Salt (wk), Luke Wright (c), Delray Rawlins, Ravi Bopara, David Wiese, Calum MacLeod, George Garton, Will Beer, Ollie Robinson, Danny Briggs, Tymal Mills.

By a quirk of the quarter-final draw, these two actually played each other in their last match of the group stage.

Surrey were the winners on that occasion by six wickets to seal top spot in the South Group with Kent finishing third and they've been paired together once more for this knockout encounter at The Oval.
