    Lancashire 305 & 296-7 dec v Northamptonshire 177 & 88-5

And another one for Lancashire as Northamptonshire's Adam Rossington edges Luke Wood straight into the hands of Keaton Jennings.

Rossington goes for eight. The hosts are just five wickets from the win now.

  2. Postpublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Hampshire 319 & 290-4 dec v Middlesex 79 & 235-8

And it's a similar tale at Southampton, where Middlesex have lost wickets in successive overs to leave Hampshire needing just two more to wrap up a comfortable victory.

John Simpson falls for 21, caught by Joe Weatherley off Mohammad Abbas.

  3. wicket

WICKET Raine (lbw Harmer) 3published at 11:58 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

Durham 91-7, still need 77 more runs to win

    Four wickets in five overs!

From 83-3 and seemingly pretty comfortable, Durham find themselves 91-7.

Simon Harmer has taken 3-14, his latest victim Ben Raine for three.

  4. wicket

WICKET Denly (c Tattersall b Thompson) 30published at 11:57 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Kent 265-9 & 86-4 v Yorkshire 379 & 330-5 dec

Two big wickets now for Jordan Thompson, after taking Zak Crawley last night, he's now removed Joe Denly.

The former England man had been batting so smoothly, really frustrating the Yorkshire fielders.

That's some breakthrough and Kent are up against it once again.

Former Yorkshireman Jack Leaning is the new batsman in. Night watchman Matthew Milnes remains on 23 not out.

  5. Postpublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Hampshire 319 & 290-4 dec v Middlesex 79 & 235-7

Kyle Abbott has dismissed Toby Roland-Jones and Middlesex slide ever nearer to a comfortable defeat.

Three more wickets needed for Hampshire.

  6. wicket

WICKET Poynter (lbw Cook) 1published at 11:52 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

Durham 88-6, still need 80 more runs to win

    Durham are collapsing!

It's Sam Cook this time, dismissing Stuart Poynter lbw, and Essex have their tails up.

The county champions are on the charge. Ben Raine joins Ned Eckersley at the crease. Both are on nought.

  7. Gloucestershire need 77 more runs to winpublished at 11:50 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Somerset 312 & 149 v Gloucestershire 309 & 76-1

While the panic seems to be setting in for Durham, Gloucestershire have been as cool as you like in dealing with a similar sort of chase so far.

James Bracey (37 not out) and Kraigg Brathwaite (29 not out) are cruising along at Taunton.

Jack Leach is finally in the attack but his first two overs have gone for 10 runs.

This is the visitors' to lose from here.

  8. wicket

WICKET Borthwick (lbw Harmer) 24published at 11:46 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

Durham 87-5, still need 81 more runs to win

    Simon Harmer's done it again!

What a game we've got on our hands here. He pins Scott Borthwick in front for 24 and, not only does Durham's victory target of 168 suddenly look rather far away, they've got two brand new batsmen at the crease too.

The door is ajar for Essex.

  9. Derbyshire set Worcestershire target of 398published at 11:44 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Derbyshire 390 & 312-5 dec v Worcestershire 305

And, as predicted, there's the declaration.

Harvey Hosein finishes unbeaten on 55, Fynn Hudson-Prentice on 31.

Worcestershire are set a nominal target of 398 in 86 overs.

  10. Postpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Lancashire 305 & 296-7 dec v Northamptonshire 177 & 80-4

First breakthrough of the day for Lancashire as Matthew Parkinson bowls Ricardo Vasconcelos who falls for 35 attempting a reverse sweep.

Not a great shot and Northamptonshire are four down, 345 runs behind.

  11. Postpublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 & 286-6 v Sussex 481

That'll do nicely for Glamorgan as Callum Taylor brings up his first half-century of the season.

A calm, patient knock from the youngster so far, who reaches his 50 off 135 balls.

This game's still in the balance with Glamorgan's lead just 90. Quick wickets for Sussex could make things very interesting.

  12. wicket

WICKET Burnham (c Westley b Harmer) 43published at 11:37 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

Durham 83-4, still need 85 more runs to win

    Simon HarmerImage source, Rex Features

When you need him most, Simon Harmer just always seems to deliver the goods.

He's just taken a big, big wicket by removing Jack Burnham, who looked in good touch on 43 from 82 deliveries.

Durham still need another 85 runs with six wickets in hand. This is far from done.

  13. Postpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Hampshire 219 & 290-4 dec v Middlesex 79 & 229-6

At Southampton, meanwhile, Hampshire edge ever nearer to victory.

Ian Holland has taken his third wicket to remove Martin Andersson, caught behind for 26, and they need just four more wickets to win.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Harvey Hoseinpublished at 11:34 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Derbyshire 390 & 304-5 v Worcestershire 305

That's Harvey Hosein's half-century. Derbyshire are now 389 runs in front.

Surely they'll be eyeing a declaration to try to force something?

  15. Postpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 273 & 260 v Warwickshire 201-9 & 103-3

We could also be in for a tidy little chase at Trent Bridge.

You'd say Nottinghamshire would've started the day as favourites, with Warwickshire 85-3 needing a further 248 runs to win, but it's been a steady start by Sam Hain and Matthew Lamb.

Their target is now down to 230.

  16. Postpublished at 11:30 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Lancashire 305 & 296-7 dec v Northamptonshire 177 & 70-3

Lancashire are still hunting for an early wicket this morning.

Saqib Mahmood is getting the ball to move, but Ricardo Vasconcelos (34 not out) and Luke Proctor (14 not out) have looked untroubled so far.

    Northamptonshire need 355 to win.

  17. Gloucestershire need 99 more runs to winpublished at 11:28 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Somerset 312 & 149 v Gloucestershire 309 & 54-1

It's been the perfect start to the day for Gloucestershire, who have edged their target below three figures. That always feels fairly significant.

Craig Overton has looked really threatening with the ball but, despite the odd play and miss, James Bracey (27 not out) and Kraigg Brathwaite (17 not out) have done a good job so far.

I wonder when Tom Abell will turn to England spinner Jack Leach?

    Surrey 672-8 dec v Leicestershire 375 & 44-0

Another game that may well be heading for a draw is the one at The Oval, where Leicestershire are looking to avoid any final-day dramas on a flat pitch.

Openers Hassan Azad (29 not out) and Sam Evans (10 not out) have made the ideal start, easing their way through the opening 25 minutes or so.

  19. Postpublished at 11:20 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Derbyshire 309 & 284-5 v Worcestershire 305

Harvey Hosein (39 not out) and Fynn Hudson-Prentice (20 not out) have made a confident start to the final day.

You'd have thought this game is destined for a draw looking at the scorecard, but Derbyshire may fancy a dart at Worcestershire if they make good progress in the first hour this morning.

  20. wicket

WICKET Carlson (c Thomason b Robinson) 132published at 11:17 British Summer Time 18 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 & 267-6 v Sussex 481

Ollie Robinson has his five-for! And Kiran Carlson's superb innings comes to an end.

Robinson has the Glamorgan batsman edging to first slip to fall for 132 off 198 balls, adding to the 127 he struck in the first innings.

That's a huge dismissal. Glamorgan's lead is just 71 runs with four wickets remaining.
