    Durham 391-9 dec v Warwickshire 87 & 3-0

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham have given themselves 20 minutes before lunch on day three to have a go at Warwickshire, having declared their first innings on 391-9 and a lead of 304.

Alex Lees faced 352 balls before he was eventually out for 129. He edged a short ball from Liam Norwell to the keeper, but it popped out of Michael Burgess' gloves and into the hands of Tim Bresnan at first slip.

That sparked a mini collapse where Durham lost four wickets for 34 runs before Brydon Carse (40*) and Mark Wood put 50 on for the ninth wicket. Having taken the lead to 300 Wood looked to be heading off the pitch and it appeared Durham were about to declare.

But they ended up batting for another over and he was bowled by Danny Briggs at the end of it for 17. Briggs finished with 4-93.

There are 76 overs left in the day at an overcast Chester-le-Street with a few showers skirting to the west of us.
