Until then - thanks for being with us.

    Hampshire (79 & 110-4) trail Somerset (336) by 147 runs

Stumps are now out of the ground which means that is your lot at the Ageas Bowl.

Just the 9.3 overs of the 16 they tried to squeeze in there in the last hour.

Somerset though are one wicket closer to wrapping up a convincing win over Hampshire.

Umpires are still waiting out in the middle as is the customary procedure for these sorts of circumstances.

Tom Abell is there with them presumably rather ambitiously trying to convince them to restart!

Six overs have been bowled at the Ageas Bowl.

    Breaking

    Gloucestershire (273 & 93-3) beat Middlesex (210 & 152) by seven wickets

Former Middlesex batsman Tom Lace finishes the game with a boundary.

That's a really comfortable win for Gloucestershire - a fourth victory in five matches this season to go with a draw.

They now hold a 35 point lead over Somerset at the top of Group Two - that of course will be cut once Somerset finish their game at Hampshire.

Kraigg Brathwaite won't be there to see his side home.

James Harris pings one into his pads and he's sent on his way.

    Three needed for victory.

  13. Postpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 8 May 2021

    Middlesex v Gloucs 73-2 (target 90)

Three fours in a row for Tom Lace and Gloucestershire are getting there at a canter!

First he clips James Harris through mid-wicket and follows it with two booming drives through the off side.

    17 more for victory.

  14. Play under way at The Ageas Bowlpublished at 17:31 British Summer Time 8 May 2021

    Hants 79 & 92-3 v Somerset 336

After a delay of six and a half hours, they've started in Southampton!

Joe Weatherley and Sam Northeast resume batting with Hampshire still needing 165 to avoid an innings defeat.

    Huge task ahead of them.

    Middlesex v Gloucs 58-2 (target 90)

Martin Andersson gets one to lift sharply at Kraigg Brathwaite and it hits the West Indian on the thumb. Sore one.

WICKETpublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 8 May 2021

    Bracey c Murtagh b Bamber 13 (Middlesex v Gloucs 50-2, target 90)

Surely it's too late for Middlesex now?

James Bracey simply chips one from Ethan Bamber straight to Tim Murtagh at mid-on.

40 still needed, but with eight wickets in hand shouldn't be any issues for Gloucestershire.

  17. Postpublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 8 May 2021

    Middlesex v Gloucs 47-1 (target 90)

Kraigg Brathwaite is an absolute master at seeing off the threat with the new ball.

The West Indies Test captain has 11 off 44 balls but the key for Gloucestershire was to not lose a clatter of wickets.

The opener has made sure they've done that. 42 more needed for victory.

  18. Postpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 8 May 2021

    Middlesex v Gloucs 42-1 (target 90)

    Close!

James Bracey edges his first ball from Ethan Bamber through the slips and it rolls down to the rope.

    Dent b Bamber 25 (Middlesex v Gloucs 34-1, target 90)

    Beauty from Ethan Bamber.

The Middlesex paceman finds a lovely line and Chris Dent is beaten all ends up.

Probably too late for Middlesex but stranger things have happened. 56 needed for victory.

    56 more needed for victory.
