    Middlesex 16-0 v Hampshire

BBC Radio London's Kevin Hand was a concerned man before a ball was bowled, but the Middlesex openers have managed to survive the first 10 overs pretty well.

Mohammad Abbas and Keith Barker have probed without success so far.

  2. Kent all outpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 145

It's another failure for Kent, all done for just 145.

A mix of some decent deliveries and shots that smack of a line up low on form.

Jofra Archer 2-29 on his return.

Sussex once again with the chance to get ahead of the game in it's first half.

  3. Postpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 142-9

A third of the day for Ollie Robinson and he gets Jack Leaning.

He pushes at one outside off stump and nicks to slip.

Slightly tame ended and Leaning is annoyed.

A well-made 63 but Kent now almost done as Nathan Gilchrist chips a catch back to off-spinner Jack Carson five balls later.

  4. Postpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Durham 202-8 v Worcestershire

The hosts have a batting point at Chester-le-Street but they've lost Ben Raine.

Another very soft dismissal - there have been a few today.

He simply walks across his stumps, misses with a nudge to leg and loses his leg stump.

  5. Postpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Middlesex 6-0 v Hampshire

Sam Robson and Jack Davies have safely negotiated the first few overs under overcast skies in London.

We'll have another 32 overs at Lord's - if the light holds.

  6. Postpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Middlesex 0-0 v Hampshire

Sam Robson and Jack Davies are out in the middle ready to face Keith Barker.

  7. get involved

Postpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 124-7

Jofra Archer back for a blast straight after the restart at Hove.

He's been used in four-over bursts throughout the day.

Is it Jack Leaning or bust for Kent?

  8. Postpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Durham 185-7 v Worcestershire

It's a huge wicket in the over before tea!

Alex Lees gets to 99 but trying to drive a wide ball from Joe Leach has feathered a catch to Ben Cox stood up to the stumps.

The first time in his career he's been dismissed for 99.

  9. Postpublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Durham 175-6 v Worcestershire

Signs are that Durham shouldn't be six down on this pitch.

That, or Alex Lees has morphed into Brian Lara as he strides forward and takes a ball of decent length from Joe Leach through square cover for four.

Another boundary - flicked to fine-leg - takes him into the 90s.

  10. Middlesex to bat firstpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Middlesex v Hampshire

Hampshire have won the toss at Lord's and put Middlesex in.

It looks like we're actually going to get some play there at last.

  11. 16:00 BST restart at Hovepublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 113-7

The break for tea will be extended a little longer at Hove but they'll soon be back under way.

    "Great" cry the Kent fans.

  12. No play Thursday at Chelmsfordpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Essex v Derbyshire

    Another day one goes.

They'd tossed up at Chelmsford this morning - Derbyshire choosing to field - but the rain moved in and has never gone away.

  13. Postpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Durham 157-6 v Worcestershire

A flurry of runs from Alex Lees.

He drives Ed Barnard through the covers then flicks him through square leg for four more.

A very pleasant back-foot punch down the ground off Joe Leach raises the Durham 150.

And then perhaps the shot of the day - an essayed cover-drive for his ninth four.

  14. Tea at Hovepublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 113-7

With rain falling an early tea has been taken at Hove.

Very much Sussex's day having won the toss.

Jack Leaning still there though so some hope Kent could perhaps work themselves an sort-of score - which is minimum 150.

  15. Play due to start at 16:15 BST at Lord'spublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Middlesex v Hampshire

Now if you're going to get play anywhere on a wet day, Lord's is always you're best bet.

True to form, the rain has tumbled through their outrageous drainage system and play will start in under an hour.

  16. It's raining at Hovepublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 113-7

The forecast suggested Hove may escape all the weather today but not so.

It leaves us only with play at Durham.

  17. Postpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Durham 136-6 v Worcestershire

Durham now on the slide at Chester-le-Street.

    They've lost 3-9 after lunch.

A ball in a tight channel from Ed Barnard back-of-a-length and the groping bat of Stuart Poynter pokes it to first slip.

  18. rain stops play

Raining again at Lord'spublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

You know we mentioned that earlier scheduled inspection at Lord's?

Unfortunately it never actually happened because the rain has returned.

  19. 50 runs

for Jack Leaningpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 112-7

Jack Leaning is just about holding Kent together at Hove.

He chops Jofra Archer backward of point for his seventh boundary and goes to fifty in 94 balls.

A first fifty since the opening round.

But he then loses Marcus O'Riordan!

George Garton has been expensive but he's got a third wicket as O'Riordan drives at a ball slid across him and edges to first slip.

  20. Postpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Durham 131-5 v Worcestershire

Worcestershire's bowlers have been forced into some very hard yards this season on some featherbeds at New Road.

But they're beginning to enjoy themselves in the North-East.

Two in three balls for Josh Tongue as Ned Eckersley gets up on his toes to a back-of-a-length ball but chops it into his stumps.
