The forecast suggested Hove may escape all the weather today but not so.

Jack Leaning is just about holding Kent together at Hove.

He chops Jofra Archer backward of point for his seventh boundary and goes to fifty in 94 balls.

A first fifty since the opening round.

But he then loses Marcus O'Riordan!

George Garton has been expensive but he's got a third wicket as O'Riordan drives at a ball slid across him and edges to first slip.

Worcestershire's bowlers have been forced into some very hard yards this season on some featherbeds at New Road.

But they're beginning to enjoy themselves in the North-East.
