  1. 50 runs

for Alex Leespublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Durham 127-4 v Worcestershire

Alex Lees is enjoying a solid campaign and he passes fifty for the fourth time this season.

A sharp single in front of mid-on raises a half-century in 145 balls with five fours.

But soon after Jack Burnham is palpable lbw to Josh Tongue.

Caught in the crease, he's gone for 23 and a promising stand ends.

  2. No play Thursday at Cardiffpublished at 14:47 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Glamorgan v Yorkshire

It's also curtains for any chance of play at Sophia Gardens.

    Horrendous West Country weather today.

  3. No play Thursday at Tauntonpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Somerset v Surrey

Thought this might have been the case given the forecast.

The umpires have decided there will be no play today at Taunton.

  4. Postpublished at 14:42 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 93-6

The horrible memories of Cardiff two weeks ago will be flooding back for Kent.

Darren Stevens goes for a second-ball duck, driving at George Garton and edging to slip.

This collapse after lunch is all without Jofra Archer.

  5. Postpublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 86-5

Now it's a proper hole for Kent.

Sussex's Ollie Robinson has his second wicket, trapping Tawanda Muyeye on the crease and gets him lbw for only 1.

Not the memorable first-class debut Muyeye would have dreamt of.

  7. Postpublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 85-4

The battle of the Ollie Robinsons didn't last long at Hove.

But it's actually George Garton with the wicket as Kent's Ollie Robinson drives very lazily to short extra-cover.

A good low catch and Kent in trouble now.

  8. Game on at Hovepublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 74-3

And now the players are back out at Hove, where it seems to have brightened up a bit.

Ollie Robinson has a couple of balls remaining in the 31st over.

I wonder if we'll see Jofra Archer again soon...

  9. Postpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Durham 101-3 v Worcestershire

The 100 is up for Durham against Worcestershire.

Jack Burnham has settled well since coming to the crease, hitting a couple of boundaries, while Alex Lees remains unmoved on 39.

  10. Postpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

But this is much less like it...

  12. Postpublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Durham 86-3 v Worcestershire

That means all eyes are now on Chester-le-Street, the only one of our six matches now with any action.

And there's been an early wicket after lunch there too, with David Bedingham dismissed by Charlie Morris for 24.

Bedingham had just brought up the 50 partnership with opener Alex Lees too.

  13. Bad light stops playpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 74-3

Ah, and now the players are heading off the field. I said it was gloomy and the umpires have decided too much so.

But there's also the prospect of rain on the way at Hove so it seems as though they're cutting their losses somewhat.

  14. Postpublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 70-3

There's been an early wicket after lunch at Hove too... but this one's not gone to Jofra Archer.

Ollie Robinson has bowled Jordan Cox for 24 with the sixth delivery of the afternoon session.

George Garton is into the attack at the other end, which means we'll have to wait at least a little while for another glimpse of Archer under increasingly gloomy skies down south.

  15. Back under waypublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

We're back under way at Chester-le-Street and Hove, although there's still no imminent prospect of play at our other four matches.

There is, at least, an inspection scheduled in Cardiff for 14:30 BST.

  16. 'A good recovery'published at 13:31 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 68-2

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Radio Sussex

A good recovery from Kent, who having been asked to bat have so weathered the early storm from Ollie Robinson and Jofra Archer.

Archer announced his Sussex return with two spells of four overs each during which he removed both Daniel Bell-Drummond and then his England colleague Zak Crawley with a beauty that he had to play.

However, since then Jack Leaning and Jordan Cox have batted sensibly and with good judgement, to bring up the 50 partnership and steer Kent to 68 -2

  18. Lunch at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Durham 80-2 v Worcestershire

Durham's morning probably having been sent in.

They lost Will Young and Scott Borthwick cheaply but have built nicely through Alex Lees and David Bedingham - a man in excellent form.

  19. Lunch at Hovepublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 68-2

Two early wickets for Jofra Archer on his return - and the wicket of Zak Crawley but otherwise a steady morning for Kent.

Ollie Robinson has bowled 10 overs for just seven runs as part of one of the best new ball partnerships.

But Jordan Cox and Jack Leaning have got the visitors to the break in decent shape.

  20. Postpublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

    Sussex v Kent 57-2

Jordan Cox has pulled George Garton for four to bring the fifty up for Hove and some sunshine now on the south coast.

It was indeed only the four overs for Jofra Archer in his second spell.

If they can now get through to lunch that's a decent morning for Kent.
