Image source, Rex FeaturesOn any other day, we'd be using this final entry to praise Hampshire's Colin de Grandhomme for his superb 174 not out against Surrey - and we are, but not in an extended form of words.
This day belongs - as so many others have in his long career - to England's James Anderson, who reached the 1,000 first-class wickets milestone as Lancashire skittled Kent for 74.
Anderson took a career-best 7-19 from 10 overs, with all his wickets caught by the keeper or in the slips. Zak Crawley was among his victims for nought on a bad day for England top-order batsmen, as Dom Sibley also failed to score and Rory Burns was dismissed for one.
We'll be back with you tomorrow at about 10:40 BST for more County Championship coverage.
