    Russel Arnold
Former Sri Lanka all-rounder on BBC Test Match Special

Dushmantha Chameera has shown that he has variations. We spoke about his pace, but he is bowling with a lot of control. The variations stood out today - he's got a couple of different ones. He got classy batters out too, you can't forget how good this England side are and he deceived them.

  5. 'We've made great strides with the ball'published at 18:26 British Summer Time 26 June 2021

England captain Eoin Morgan: "The biggest and most impressive thing throughout the series were our bowling performances. The bowlers have adapted to conditions well and it was an outstanding effort from the seamers today to bowl 16 overs straight.

"Throughout the series there has been nothing we can improve with the ball, but longer term, looking at the World Cup, where there might not be much on offer, you're probably looking at the powerplay and death bowling. That's improving, but still something we can improve. We've made great strides and I'm extremely proud of the guys.

"There is no let up. Any opportunities the guys get, they are a terrific group of players who are giving their all. The Hundred is another opportunity for players to stake claims alongside the internationals this summer."

Sri Lanka captain Kusal Perera: "We knew it was going to be a tough series coming into it, but our batting wasn't up to the mark, that was our main issue. We couldn't get used to the pace and the bounce of the pitches and conditions. The batsmen have to take responsibility and try to play to their strengths."

England all-rounder Sam Curran: "The run out with my boot in the last game was definitely my favourite moment - i'm very happy with how the series went.

"I've tried to contribute with bat and ball, and just try do my best and keep trying to get better at all my skills. I just want to keep improving.

"We all spoke in the field about the swing, it swung consistently throughout. It was pretty strange, but we weren't complaining today."

  8. 'The criticism does bother me'published at 18:18 British Summer Time 26 June 2021

Man of the Match Dawid Malan: "It's always nice to score runs and to help us get to a winning score is a nice feeling. We were probably slower than we have been at the start but Jonny Bairstow played beautifully.

"I do prefer opening, but breaking into this team is tough enough so I will bat anywhere.

"We know how we want to play as a team, we are backed to play our way and sometimes that gets criticism but we know our methods. The criticism does bother me sometimes but it drives me as well. I like to prove a point so when I do get criticised I like going out there and proving wrong those with their opinions."

  9. Man of the seriespublished at 18:16 British Summer Time 26 June 2021

Sam Curran has been named as the player of the series. He has taken five wickets across the series, as well as winning the second game with a six.

Barney: Across all sports, I can't think of a better, more dominant, more clinical British national side in my life time than the current England white ball team. They really are a joy to behold.

This piece of fielding from Sam Billings deserved its own post.

England's fielding in the three-match series has been exemplary. Whether it be catching, ground fielding, throwing, it has been faultless.

  14. Postpublished at 18:07 British Summer Time 26 June 2021

Sri Lanka had been criticised in the first two games for a lack of proactiveness with the bat.

They were more attacking today, but it tended to be shot or block and there wasn't much in between.

That got a fair few of their batters in trouble.

England were once again clinical with the ball, and in the field, as they restricted Sri Lanka to 39-3 at the end of the powerplay.

  16. Postpublished at 18:04 British Summer Time 26 June 2021

One concern for England will be a middle-order collapse that saw them slip from 143-1 to 151-4 and 162-6.

  17. Postpublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 26 June 2021

It was a good day for Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan, as both made half-centuries as they moved up the order to open in the absence of Jason Roy and Jos Buttler.

While we're waiting for the presentation we'll run through some of the best moments from the day...

  19. Postpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 26 June 2021

It has been an extremely one-sided series, so Eoin Morgan and Chris Silverwood won't have learnt a great deal about their side under pressure situations. But, there are positives to take.

Liam Livingstone has shown promise with bat, ball and in the field. He's may have edged ahead of Sam Billings and Moeen Ali in the battle to be that spare batter/all-rounder in the World Cup squad.

There were also good returns to the fold from Chris Woakes and David Willey.

England's depth and quality is improving all the time.
