All the very best to The Hundred. If it gets more people into our beautiful game, I'm all for it.

Another five-ball spell comes to an end. Manchester Originals have come back strongly after a quiet start.

That's good bowling. I like that aggression from Shabnim Ismail. Seems a bit harsh to call it a no ball!

The DJ is trying to get the crowd going between overs. Here’s their view (photo taken a earlier before the crowd arrived)…
Lizelle Lee is some batter! She tonks fellow South African Ismail through the off side for another four.
Ismail then bowls a short ball which sails over the head of Lee and through to the boundary. It's been given a no-ball by the umpire because of the height.

So just the five balls for Farrant as Invincibles bring Shabnim Ismail on to bowl. And she does well by starting off with two dot balls, with the ball swinging away from the batter.
Plenty of ice creams being consumed in the ground. One fella is munching on some fish and chips, bit for that, no?
It look like loyalties are split in the Richardson-Walsh household.

Scrap what I just said, Lee has arrived at the party by smashing consecutive boundaries, the first is hit to the leg side and the second is pummeled down the ground.

If she gets going, Lizelle Lee really can tonk it.
Tash Farrant is the new bowler for Invincibles and beats the bat of Lizelle Lee.
The South African batter is such a hard-hitting batter but hasn't got going just yet.

Selina: So if I understand #TheHundred rules properly, 100 balls get yeeted at a batsman in one go. Awesome - bring it on!
That's the end of the 10 balls - it was superbly bowled by Marizanne Kapp.
Meanwhile the DJ is fiddling the dials and pumping up the music at The Oval.

That's a big wicket, there was a lot of talk about how good Emma Lamb's form has been.
Lamb c Bryce b Kapp 0 (Originals 4-1)
And she's gone! Emma Lamb is heading back to the dugout. An early breakthrough for Invincibles! It was an easy catch for Sarah Bryce behind the stumps.
Originals 4-0
Do we have the first ever wicket in The Hundred? I think we do, you know. Emma Lamb, who is a brilliant batter, has edged the ball into the hands of the wicketkeeper.
The umpire says not out but I definitely heard a noise. Invincibles review the decision so the TV umpire will now have his say.

The umpire has held up the white card to signals it's the end of the first five deliveries. Invincibles have the option to keep Marizanne Kapp on for another five balls or to change the bowler.
They decide to stick.
