The final day of the Test between England and India has been called off in the last few moments because of the rain. That game has ended in a draw.

We're still hopeful of play in the relatively near future here. A good crowd has built in anticipation.

One thing in our favour is that it is quite windy. The flags are blowing so hopefully it will dry out quite quickly.

Word from the ground is that there's going to be an inspection in 30 minutes time which is very frustrating. It didn't rain for long but it has obviously caused some damage to the outfield.

That'll mean we're likely to have a reduced game.

It is a massive game. For us as London Spirit it wouldn't be the worse thing it if rained, but as a cricket fan I want this game to happen. The two captains - Dane van Niekerk and Nat Sciver - are in scintillating form with the bat.

It's one v two in the MVP rankings in this women's game with the two captains - Dane van Niekerk and Nat Sciver - leading the way.

We're also going to see the two leading wicket-takers in Sammy-Jo Johnson and Tash Farrant.

I haven't even mentioned 16-year-old Alice Capsey, one of The Hundred's break-out stars, or England legend Katherine Brunt yet.

The umpires are out in the middle looking at the water on the covers. The start has been delayed.

It's going to be a day of sunshine and showers, I fear.

I'm excited to see Shabnim Ismail back for the Oval Invincibles. She'll have worked hard to get back. Her trajectory is quite hard to face as a batter because she is quite small, whippy and skiddy. Her bouncer is never easy to face because it is always coming into your body, and never over your head.

There's blazing sunshine at The Oval now...

Oh. It's now ABSOLUTELY pouring down in south London. The skies have opened. Scratch what I said about the rain staying away. We're going to have a delayed start.

Invincibles captain Dane Viekerk: "We would have bowled. Having Shabs back in with the ball is very exciting. We know how good Trent Rockets are and know we have to bring our A game."

Rockets captain Nat Sciver on her decision to bat first: "Bit controversial. We know there is a lot of weather around but our strength is to bat first. I have been having a good time of it with a bat. Hopefully I can do it again today."

Rockets skipper Nat Sciver calls correctly and decides to bat first. Invincibles captain Dane van Niekerk says she wanted to bowl first anyway.

There's a boost for the Invincibles with South Africa fast bowler Shabnim Ismail fit enough to return.

This is an important game for both sides. Remember after each team has played their eight group games the side top of the table with progress automatically to the final.

The teams in second and third will meet in the eliminator.

Today sees the Oval Invincibles meet the Trent Rockets. The women are first up with the men's match following from 19:00 BST.

The two women's sides are right in the mix in the battle to reach the knockout stages.

The Rockets are charging towards the top, unbeaten in three games. The Invincibles got back on track with an impressive win against Welsh Fire last time out.

Should be a good 'un.

Rain continues to fall at Trent Bridge but there are no such issues at The Oval.
