London Spirit captain Heather Knight: "We love a tight game, don't we?! My nerves are shot! We just tried to stay in the game as long as possible. We lost a few players with injury, but we managed to get some momentum and Deepti Sharma - what a little legend.

"We're missing Freya Davies, who has been outstanding for us at the start and at the end. But we got through it, bowled a lot of spin and it was nice for me to get 20 balls in!

"We want to keep this momentum up at the end of the tournament and when you do that, if you sneak a place in the top three it can work in your favour."

Anyway, moving on to London Spirit, that's a vital win that keeps them thoroughly in the competition.

They move up to fifth in the table on six points, just one behind Northern Superchargers, Oval Invincibles and Trent Rockets, who are all on seven points in second, third and fourth respectively.

Let's finish up by hearing from Spirit and England captain Heather Knight...

Kate Cross ended up with 2-29 off her 20 balls.

She and Alex Hartley were the only Originals bowlers to take wickets - but also the two most expensive - ending up with combined figures of 5-61 off 40 balls.

Again, another headscratcher for how Manchester Originals managed to squander a winning position.

Manchester Originals captain Kate Cross: "We're obviously disappointed not to get the win especially in front of our home crowd. But we're still such a young team. We've just got to make sure we stay positive and play positive cricket.

"It's also important to make sure we keep believing that we can win. It's hard when you're losing games to keep that belief but what an amazing tournament it's been, we've learnt so much from it.

"It's always nice to get my England team-mate Tammy Beaumont out early! We believed we could win all the way through. But Deepti Sharma turned up for them and that was the difference for them in the end.

"I know I've played international cricket but I've never played in front of crowds like we've had in this tournament and that's been an amazing experience for the girls."

Alex Hartley took three wickets...but also went for 32 off her 20 balls.

It somewhat sums up the Originals' issues - they have brilliant moments, but then also can get a big ragged and the opposition takes advantage.

Alex Hartley took three really important wickets but her last set of five also went for 11 runs and you felt that was where the game changed.

Manchester Originals have now won one, lost four and had one no result from their six games.

It feels like there were long periods in each of those four defeats where they were the team on top, yet each time they made poorly-timed mistakes and rather threw their chances away.

They have only three points and two games remaining, with only the teams finishing second and third reaching the eliminator for the chance to play the table topper in the final.

The Originals can mathematically still make it, given Oval Invincibles are on seven points in third as it stands. But it's now completely out of their hands.

That's a magnificent partnership from Deepti Sharma and Charlie Dean. It was high class, getting their team over the line in that pressurised situation.

When they're hit hard at you like that, it's a split-second decision about whether to catch or step back and save the four. But at this stage, Georgie Boyce should go for the catch because they need to get Deepti Sharma out to win.

Sharma bashes the last down the ground, Boyce is in the game for a possible catch but decides to hang back and save the four instead, despite a bit of a juggle on the ground. Just two in the end.
