Manchester Originals bowler on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports ExtraShe was striking the ball so well. A slower ball from Brunt and she has flat-batted it straight to Heather Graham for a comfortable catch in the deep, having not spotted the previous one. She hits the ball so cleanly and if she bats through the powerplay the Phoenix are on top. Huge wicket.

Does she not like that?!
I don't think there is a bowler in cricket history who has been more delighted to get a specific batter out than Katherine Brunt is to dismiss Shafali Verma.
Allan Donald against Mike Atherton? James Anderson against Michael Clarke? Perhaps.
Brunt does it again, for the fifth time this summer, as she follows Verma stepping to leg and Verma nails the pull shot but picks out Heather Graham. Plenty of pressure on that catch but Graham nails it.
Brunt yells in angry joy.

Poor ball, halfway down the pitch, that Shafali Verma banjaxes away on the leg side to the fence.
Katherine Brunt rages at a fielder on the boundary she feels should've at least got closer but I don't reckon she saw that in the low sun.
She's mainly angry at Verma though...

Phoenix can't afford too many of these - their top order need to get them ahead of the rate.

Bang! Bang! Verma now mashes Bryce back down the ground for a second boundary in a row.
Two singles to finish the set of five.

A fairly tame beginning as Verma takes two singles from two balls off Brunt, who concedes only four overall.

16:56 BST 13 August 2021One of the best battles in cricket first up - Katherine Brunt v Shafali Verma.
The England bowler has removed the India opener four times this summer. And celebrated with increasing aplomb each time.
Who will get the last laugh today?

16:53 BST 13 August 2021Cheers Phil.
Last time these local rivals played each other, Rockets also batted first and posted 144-5, thanks to some late hitting by Heather Graham.
The Phoenix could only muster 134-9 in response, with Issy Wong's late boundaries adding a bit of gloss to a stodgy chase.
With 126 needed today, can the visitors put more sensible, telling partnerships together and ensure they don't need to panic at the back end?

Ex-England bowler on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports ExtraIt was excellent death bowling and the Phoenix will take that momentum into their innings, as well as the knowledge that the best way to score runs on that pitch is to hit the gaps, not wildly swipe across the line.

We end with a run out as Glenn is short with the Rockets going for a second they were never going to make.
That's was a superb final 10 balls from the Phoenix.
Have the Rockets got enough? We'll find it soon.
