  • West Indies go 2-1 up in five-match series

  1. WI 18-1published at 3.2 overs

Pooran has not looked all that comfortable out there! A wild heave into the leg side falls short of the fielder. The batter then plays and misses to Garton. But it's a no-ball. Free hit to West Indies but, once again, Pooran is beaten and the ball nestles into the gloves of 'keeper Tom Banton.

  2. WI 15-1published at 3 overs

Brilliant bowling! Pooran is on the back foot and plays inside of the line of another quality Topley delivery.

Pooran then dabs into the off side and takes off for a quick single. A direct hit from Phil Salt and West Indies would be two down! Missed opportunity.

  3. WI 14-1published at 1.3 overs

Pooran pulls Topley and the ball falls a metre or so in front of the fielder at short fine leg.

Not much movement but lots of bounce from Topley as the batter plays and misses at one outside off stump.

  4. WI 12-1published at 2 overs

Nicholas Pooran is the new man in and pushes back past the bowler for a single.

Garton was beaming after that wicket and was embraced by his team-mates.

A moment George Garton will never, ever forget. Brandon King once again makes some space but this time it's a sublime length from the seamer as the ball rushes off the turf and clips the top of off stump.

  7. WI 11-0published at 1.4 overs

King makes some room and creams it through cover for four. Terrific shot.

  8. WI 7-0published at 1.1 overs

Welcome to international cricket, George. A low full toss on middle stump and it's middled straight down the ground by King for four. A good line but just a misjudged length.

Here comes George Garton for his first ball in T20 internationals.

  10. WI 3-0published at 1 over

Tight on the stumps and a good length from the tall Reece Topley. A fine first over.

  11. WI 1-0published at 0.2 overs

They take the single this time and the Windies are off the mark. Hope nudges into the off side and debutant Brook does connect with a lovely one-handed throw, but King is safe. .

  12. WI 0-0published at 0.1 overs

Risky! It's full and wide from Topley, King drives and Shai Hope looks for the quick single before scrambling back.

Players from both teams take the knee.

Reece Topley has the ball in hand, with Brandon King on strike.

  14. Women's Ashes Test previewpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2022

There's more cricket for you to enjoy tonight overnight as England's women face Australia in the one-off Ashes Test.

England captain Heather Knight is expecting her bowlers to have their work cut out for them if they want to force a win in the standalone Test match beginning on Thursday in Canberra.

"There's a line of thought that if you bowl first you can potentially dictate the game, but you still have to take those 20 wickets, which can be difficult," Knight said at Manuka Oval the day before the match.

"We're expecting it to be flat, and it doesn't tend to break up so it could be difficult on that fourth day to take wickets."

As we wait for game to kick off, have a read of this brilliant piece on Saqib Mahmood.

The England quick talks about his heroes, "invaluable" friendship with Jimmy Anderson and responsibility to young British Asian cricketers.

"If I can play a part in young British Asian boys and girls wanting to come and play cricket in the future then my responsibilities are to be a good professional in that sense," he says.

A special moment for all three, but Phil Salt must be in dreamland. The 25-year-old was born in Wales but made in Barbados, having lived there between the ages of nine and 15.
