It was there to drive but Heather Knight was too early on the shot. A lot of responsibility lies on Tammy Beaumont and the new batter, Nat Sciver, now.

Tammy is the sort of player who knows when a record like that is on its way.

Ellyse Perry is stemming the flow of runs a bit with three off her latest over, but one of them sees Tammy Beaumont reach 3,000 ODI runs. She's the fifth England women's player to reach the milestone, and in 78 innings she is the fastest to get there.

It is brave to go in with only five bowlers but it has allowed England to go in with an extra batter which might be helpful chasing a big total like this.

Tammy Beaumont has played nicely, showing some nice aggression at times. She's not celebrating too much. She knows this is just half of her job.

If you're not going to chase down 311 - and there is no suggestion that they're not - then get some runs, land some blows.

I think both sides will be reasonably pleased with how things are going so far.

England are still in this chase, they couldn't knock these runs off in the first few overs but they could have lost the game. And Australia will know they have lots and lots of runs on the board.
