Amy Jones and Sophia Dunkley rebuilt the innings and steadily upped the pace. Both were dismissed in the last 10 overs, but by that point a platform had been set for Katherine Brunt and Sophie Ecclestone to hit freely in the closing exchanges.

Yes, the clocks went forward and you lost an hour of sleep. But that's no excuse for not setting an alarm. Let's catch you up...

England won the toss and chose to bat on what proved to be a torpid pitch. It was a sluggish start from England's openers, and Danni Wyatt early on.

And Knight soon followed, caught behind as Bangladesh successfully reviewed.

England captain Heather Knight: "I'm really pleased, I probably would have liked a few more runs, 250/260, but the wicket was very slow. And we were clinical with the ball.

"The batters have all had a little time out in the middle to get used to the conditions here.

"It says a lot about this group, the way we've turned things round. Not getting too down, we were on the wrong end of a few close ones. I'd have certainly bitten your hand off a few weeks ago to be in this situation."

On Sophia Dunkley: "She's been a really good find. She's matured and improved her composure at the crease. She hits the ball very cleanly."

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty: "I was disappointed with the team, but pleased with Salma Khatoun's individual effort.

"I think we need to play more matches. I think we will learn more. We were coming to explore, to get a lot of experience. We want to take all the positives from here. Back home a lot of young girls are coming into cricket and I think after the World Cup I think there'll be more."

It's been a simple game for England. A good partnership between Jones and Dunkley. Fantastic bowling from Ecclestone and Dean, the stars of the day.

Chris: So, woke up despondent at men’s England score, but enthralled by how well the women have recovered throughout the tournament. Congratulations to the women’s team for getting through - amazing.

That shows the importance of the TV replay, that would normally be given not out on the field.
