  12. Umpire Sue Redfern has just had a little word with Deepti Sharma, basically saying get on with it, it seems. She has been fiddling with her gloves and helmet during deliveries.

    Deepti Sharma has been promoted from number eight to three, maybe because of her solidity this morning but also to maintain the left and right-handed combination for India.

    Another maiden but Sharma defends comfortably, although there is definitely some swing for Shrubsole.

    I was just typing that there were none of yesterday's fireworks because just one comes off the over, but Brunt out of nowhere throws the ball straight back at Verma in her follow through and it's hit her.

    Sharma was the only member of India's middle order to look close to fluent this morning.

    The first innings was freakish from India, particularly in contrast to the platform their openers gave them. I think we will see more skill and experience from their middle order today. There is fight there and I don't think they will catch up with England now, but they will show some fight.

    Shafali Verma and Deepti Sharma are out there for India, Katherine Brunt bowls three dot balls to complete her over that was disrupted by Mandhana's wicket before lunch.
