  1. Hampshire win opener in Friday double-header

    Hampshire (171-8) beat Essex (153) by 18 runs

    No there isn't a typo in our fixture list, Hampshire really are playing two games in one day!

    They face Sussex at 19:00 BST having already beat Essex by 18 runs this afternoon, making 171-8 before bowling their opponents out for 153.

    James Vince was again the hero for the hosts, making 63 off 46 deliveries. Not a bad week for the man who reached his maiden England ODI ton on Tuesday.
