The low total didn't reflect how difficult it was to score runs on a slow outfield with such big boundaries in hindsight.

Everyone thought Phoenix didn't have nearly enough at the halfway stage.
Here are some of the highlights from earlier you may have missed, starting with the end of the Phoenix innings...

A superb performance from Maqsood. Leg-spin is the hardest art in bowling and she's landed it exactly where she's wanted to all day.
The Phoenix have been superb today. They have come here and played the conditions and longer boundaries much better. Their spin bowling was excellent, especially Abtaha Maqsood.
Need 23 from 1 balls
One ball to wrap it up...
Need 24 from 2 balls
The Phoenix haven't had this all their own way but they have managed back under control superbly.
Need 25 from 5 balls
Good luck Manchester!

Now it really is curtains.
Griffith c Gordon b Elwiss 3 (Originals 88-8)
Phoenix are shutting this down.
Griffth looks to heave one over cover but only sends the ball straight to Gordon for the catch.
Need 26 from 6 balls
Great fielding. A dive at the rope saves a run as Kaur swipes at one to pick up three.
Need 29 from 7 balls
Not enough. Only boundaries will do now.

This is going to be tight. Oh Nigel Llong has made his decision already. Not so tight then.
Cross st Jones b Elwiss 1 (Originals 82-7)
Amy Jones has been superb behind the sticks. She reacts so sharply to take the bails after Cross dozily leaves her ground looking to steer one down to third man.
Game over surely.
