Superb set of 10 from Gordon. They didn't score a run from it. Is it still a wicket maiden?

    Regardless, it is pressure.

How has Lizelle Lee managed to hit a filthy full toss straight to the fielder?!

    Lee c Franklin b Gordon 7 (Originals 12-2)

    Game on!

It's an absolute gimme of a ball. On the full, Lee's eyes light up but somehow she smashes it straight to sub fielder Franklin.

A huge wicket for the Phoenix.

That was a swift assessment by Lizelle Lee.

It's all about pressure now for the Phoenix. That wicket will do a lot to help.

Emma Lamb was a long way down, but she doesn't think of a review. Lizelle Lee agreed.

    Gone!

Lamb skips down looking to heave one away but gets it all wrong and is trapped bang in front. A much-needed early strike from the Phoenix.

Punched down the ground. The first boundary of the innings.

  12. Originals 7-0published at 16:05 British Summer Time 25 July 2021

    Need 107 from 95 balls

Big pull from Lee, just the one run, though. The first set of five is done.

It's be more spin for the next five, from Kirstie Gordon. Left-armer.

  13. Originals 6-0published at 16:04 British Summer Time 25 July 2021

    Need 108 from 96 balls

Still wearing her cap to bowl, Burns loops her spin efficiently, barring one wide. The Originals untroubled, though.

    Need 113 from 99 balls

Aussie Erin Burns starts and it is turned round the corner by Lee for a single. The Originals are away.

Right, here we go then. The Phoenix are out on the field. Lizelle Lee and Emma Lamb will be opening up for the Originals.

Manchester Originals' Emma Lamb on Sky Sports: "I enjoyed it a lot. It is a big ground, which is good for us spinners, and it was a used wicket.

"I think it will play pretty similar to what we've just played on. It spun a little bit, so we'll have to bear that in mind, and run a lot of twos.

"I think we're ahead of the moment. We'd have more than taken that at the start."

    Cheers Adam.

Well, if you're new to cricket, that last 20 balls must have seemed absolutely bonkers. I can assure you, bats aren't usually chucked into the field and runners are very much an oddity.

    Fun, though, right?
