If he'd have taken that, it's the catch of the season. In that coloured kit too, he looked like a salmon.

Colin Munro has enjoyed facing Jimmy Neesham today. The left-hander walks across his stumps and then flips the ball over his head for a six.

Inventive strokeplay from Munro. Neesham, his Kiwi opposite number, can only smile.

  8. VICTORY FOR THE SUPERCHARGERSpublished at 17:04 British Summer Time 31 July 2021
    Breaking

Northern Superchargers Women (109-8) beat Oval Invincibles Women (104-4) by five runs

Mady Villiers fails to hit a six off the last ball - and it's victory for the unbeaten Northern Superchargers.

With 23 needed off 10 balls, it looked like visiting skipper Dane van Niekerk had closed the door on the hosts, going 4-4-4 off Linsey Smith.

But she managed only one more boundary, Sarah Bryce holed out off the penultimate ball - and new batter Villiers could not do the almost impossible against Alice Davidson-Richards.

That's three wins now for the hosts, and a first defeat for Oval Invincibles, to ruin their 100 per cent record.

Cool head from Ackermann. We were feeling tense, but he had it all under control.

  10. Originals 131-2published at 15 balls left

Colin Ackermann eases the pressure with back-to-back boundaries off Matt Critchley, with a punch through cover then a reverse lap over the wicketkeeper.

Tidy meds from Ryan Higgins who almost gets Colin Ackermann caught and bowled with his third delivery but just cannot get a hand on it.

    No boundary for 20 balls.
