Mushfiqur lbw Livingstone 29 (Ban 63-4)

    Decision overturned!

It was pitched up by Livingstone, Mushfiqur went to play that reverse sweep he loves, misses the ball and replays show it would have gone on to clatter into the stumps.

A brilliant review from England and Livingstone strikes in his first over.

    It looked quite close.

    I don't mind this...

  4. England reviewpublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 27 October 2021

England are interested in this! Mushfiqur is hit on the pads by a Livingstone leg-spinner. Did it pitch in line of leg stump? Given not out but Morgan doesn't hesitate in the review.

I think 140 will be a challenging total for England to chase down. It doesn't look that easy to hit through the line of the ball. It looks hard to consistently hit the ball out of the middle of the bat.

  6. Ban 63-3published at 10.3 overs

Liam Livingstone bowls turns his arm for the first time in this game, and in the tournament.

Musshfiqur goes aerial, hitting up and over the infield for two.

It's been a fantastic start for England, but Bangladesh have just managed to wrestle back some momentum. They are now giving themselves a chance to build a platform and get a competitive total on the board.

Jordan just isn't up to this level. I fear his 4 overs will cost England dearly later in the tournament.

    That is beautifully played.

  10. Ban 60-3published at 10 overs

Clever! Another short ball from Mills and Mushfiqur plays an innovative paddle shot which goes up and over Jos Buttler for four - the batter using the pace of the ball to help the ball along its way.

I have no idea how people bowl slower balls. It's incredible. If I tried it, it'd go over the batter's head...

  12. Ban 54-3published at 9.3 overs

The rapid Tymal Mills bowls a back of the hand slower ball. He disguises it so well.

A shorter delivery is pulled by Mahmudullah - the batter doesn't really get hold of it but manages to take a couple.

Closer than we thought but the bat was grounded. On we go.

  14. Umpire reviewpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 27 October 2021

Bangladesh take a quick single. A direct hit from Eoin Morgan and we go to the TV umpires. I think Mushfiqur is safe.

  16. Ban 49-3published at 9 overs

    Mushfiqur 20, Mahmudullah 8

A boundary and three singles from Rashid's over. Bangladesh won't want to lose any more wickets in the next four or five over and seem quite content in keeping things ticking along for now.

That's a positive stroke from Mahmudullah.

  18. Ban 48-3published at 8.3 overs

Intent shown by Mahmudullah as he takes three big strides down the ground and launches Rashid through mid-off for four.

Buenos Noches: Kudos to Bangladesh for already hitting Adil Rashid for more runs in 3 balls than the West Indies managed in the whole match. For 4 fewer wickets no less.

  20. Ban 42-3published at 8 overs

A Bangladesh fan holds up a sign which says he wants to be on TV. He seems in good spirits, despite his team's less than ideal start.

Chris Jordan struggles with line in his first over, either too far outside off or straying down leg.
