Kris Jefferson: I, like many others I’m sure, was a bit worried that England’s bowling attack might become undone in this tournament, but they’ve pleasantly surprised me with how well they’ve done, hope it continues!

  2. Ban 37-3published at 7.2 overs

Some width offered from Jordan first up and Mushfiqur delicately cuts it down to wide third man for a couple.

The batter then frees his hands and an edge goes through the vacant first slip region for four.

It's an outstanding start for England. Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes bowled with discipline and the confidence Eoin Morgan showed in Moeen to keep him bowling after going for 10 in his first over shows nous, and it sets up nicely for Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan now.

  4. Ban 30-3published at 7 overs

Looking back at the replays, that really was a tough chance for Mills and he did well to fling himself in the air and get anywhere near the ball.

Nevertheless, another good over for England. Just thre three from it.

I thought that was an outstanding effort. It's the old school goalkeeper principle - you go further when you go with your opposite hand.

Mills got plenty of hand on it but it was certainly high and to his left, with Mills going with his right hand.

  7. dropped catch

Mushfiqur dropped on 9published at 6.3 overs

Bangladesh could be four down! Mushfiqur reverse sweeps Adil Rashid and Tymal Mills, diving high to his left at point, manages to get his right hand to the ball but can't cling on. It would have been another superb catch. They either stick or they don't.

England's fantastic start was down to one man. Here's how Moeen Ali took two in two...

  9. Ban 27-3published at 6 overs

Mahmudullah is the new batter in but yet to face a ball. Mushfiqur takes a single from Woakes' final delivery.

I don't think they will be all out for 55, but this has the potential to unravel for Bangladesh the way it did for West Indies.

That is very well taken. The ball was going away from Rashid and he's not the quickest. Bangladesh are in real trouble.

    Shakib c Rashid b Woakes 4 (Ban 26-3)

Terrific catch from Adil Rashid! The dangerous Shakib Al Hasan top edges Chris Woakes and Rashid, running back from short fine-leg, keeps his eyes firmly on the ball and takes a fine grab over his shoulder.

Bangladesh are on the ropes here.

It has been a good start from England but you just feel that banana skin potential. You can't help but feel someone will come a cropper against Bangladesh.

I had just mentioned the length Moeen has been bowling. That one was full and was punished over his head. The fielders are deep on the leg side so that was much easier to get a boundary.

  15. Ban 24-2published at 5 overs

Mushfiqur delivers a much-needed boundary for his side, slapping a fuller ball from Moeen back past the bowler's head.

Moeen has been very consistent with a back-of-a-length length.

Tight, tidy line from Moeen. Giving very little away. This is another superb start from England's bowlers.

That blow to the hand from Woakes seems to have caused Mushfiqur a bit of bother as the physio comes on with the old magic spray.

Moeen will continue with his third over.

  19. Ban 18-2published at 4 overs

Woakes is causing Bangladesh a few problems here. An awkward looking clip to short fine leg and a length delivery which jumps up on Mushfiqur and deflects off the glove.

  20. Ban 16-2published at 3.3 overs

Woakes continues. Just a single from his first three deliveries.

It's a rebuilding operation for Bangladesh here, otherwise things could get ugly.
