Cheers Tom. Scotland will be gutted to have squandered a promising position at the halfway stage.

But Martin Guptill is just one of those handful of players who can decimate an opposition in a hurry. Sometimes you just have to shrug and accept it.

Easily one of the best white-ball batters to watch in full flow.

Shame he couldn't convert his stunning knock into another T20 ton.

So an imposing 173 needed for Scotland to cause a shock against New Zealand. Can they do it?

I will leave you in the capable hands of Jack Skelton to find out.

This is Guptill going big, including one monster six that went into the top tier.

Scoland seamer Safyaan Sharif, who took 2-28: "We're quite clear as a bowling group what we want to achieve in the powerplay. It's good to get a good start. With the new ball it was a bit tennnis-bally."

Brad Wheal and Safyaan Sharif conceded just 22 runs off the last three overs, taking two wickets. Brilliant death bowling.

Scotland started well and finished well, the middle was dominated by Martin Guptill. That was a magnificent knock.

Scotland have really fought back in the last three overs. They've contained New Zealand after what was looking like a mammoth total.

  16. NZ 172-5published at 20 overs

Another leg-stump yorker from Sharif to finish and Neesham can only nudge into the on side for a single.

That's a brilliant final over from the final seamer, just nine off it.

New Zealand reach 172-5 from their 20 overs.

  17. Not outpublished at 19.5 overs

Yep, comfortably home. A throw from Sharif was needed there.

I've got a feeling the batter is home. Sharif opted to walk to the stumps rather than throw it.

  19. Umpire reviewpublished at 19.5 overs

It's all happening. Sharif bowls a wide and New Zealand try to run a quick single but there could be a run-out.

    The umpires send it upstairs.
