That just looked too easy for Martin Guptill.
Alasdair Evans will bowl his fourth and final over. Can he stem the tide?
Back-to-back wides don't help, though the second is slightly harsh as it was close to being a very good slower ball bouncer. Guptill adds insult to injury by nonchalantly hammering the next delivery through midwicket for six.
That was so dismissive. Six fours and seven sixes for Guptill - and counting.

Safyaan Sharif went for the yorker, didn't quite find his length and Martin Guptill plays that Jos Buttler-esque flick of the wrists to power it over the boundary.
He may be struggling with the heat but it is not affecting his eye.
Martin Guptill gives a full toss from Safyaan Sharif the treatment as he smashes it through midwicket for another six.
A wonderful effort from the New Zealand opener, who again drops down to his haunches at the end of the over.

Sharif drops short for once and Guptill hammers him for six.
Guptill doubled over in pain after that - dehydration perhaps? He looks OK to carry on now.
Safyaan Sharif drops short and Martin Guptill powers the ball over deep mid-wicket for six.
Guptill immediately drops to his haunches after that shot. It looks like the searing heat is getting to him.
How quickly things can change. Scotland had New Zealand in a bit of bother at 52-3 when Devon Conway was caught behind trying to reverse sweep Mark Watt.
Martin Guptill has dragged the game back into the Kiwis' favour, though.

Scotland let this slip after the drinks break. They conceded 36 runs in the next three overs after the break. Kyle Coetzer needs to rethink who bowls after drinks.
Martin Guptill is looking exhausted out there as he grabs a welcome drink and towel down between overs.
I'm sure he has more in the tank though. He is 68 from 45 deliveries and a century is most definitely on.

Leask slightly misjudged that. It only landed a foot or so over the rope. But he was so close that it was tough.
Another huge hit from Guptill as he powers a short ball from Brad Wheal over mid-wicket!
The unfortunate Michael Leask is the boundary rider again and he can only get a hand to it as the ball lands over the rope for six.

Mark Watt uses the crease really well, varying from where he delivers the ball each delivery.
You don't see that very often. Mark Watt is really mixing things up, including delivering the ball from way behind the stumps and behind the umpire.
It did the trick though, just three runs and a wide off it.

You would think that if Guptill can bat through for a while NZ could still post a decent total, with Phillips and the all-rounders adding some big shots.

Oh dear oh dear. It was in the air for a long time and he'll be very disappointed to have dropped that. He was on the move though.
Oh no! by Glenn Phillips dropped by Michael Leask at deep mid-wicket!
He did the hard work by getting round to it, but the ball bounced agonisingly out of his hands and on to the turf. A tough chance.

102 metres!

That's top tier at Dubai! That's huge! I've only seen Andre Russell do that before. Got to be over 100m.

That is a colossal hit to bring up his fifty!
That is huge.
Chris Greaves is back into the attack but sees his second delivery launched into orbit by Martin Guptill over wide long-on for six.
Fifty for Guptill and things looking ominous for Scotland.
