India captain Virat Kohli: "A dominant performance. It was something we were striving to do again. I don't want to say too much about today because we know how we can play. These little things in T20 cricket matter and we're glad to be back in our mojo. We spoke about 100-120 max but we restricted them to a total that allowed us to leapfrog everyone else.

"If you look at our practice games as well, the guys have been batting like that. Two overs of cricket like that and the momentum of the tournament could have been completely different. We basically broke it down to the fact that we couldn't get away at all in those two games, two overs could have made the difference and put us on the different track."

Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer: "A tough day at the office, we were outclassed in every department. But the only way we'll improve is going through games like that and seeing it head on.

"Mark [Watt]'s been excellent, he's got an array of skills. Great to see him learning from other spinners here as well and that's why teams like us being at these tournaments is important."

Here is the winning moment as Suryakumar Yadav smashes the ball back over Chris Greaves' head for six.

That thumping win means India's net run-rate is above both New Zealand and Afghanistan in Group 2.

New Zealand, who beat Namibia earlier, are two points above India and Afghanistan, so will progress if they beat Afghanistan on Sunday and join leaders Pakistan in the semi-finals.

But if the Black Caps slip up, India could reach the final four with victory over Namibia on Monday.

Player of the match Ravindra Jadeja: "I was enjoying bowling today. The old ball was turning and spinning so I enjoyed today very much.

"The first one [wicket] was the special one when you get the batsman like that on a turning ball it is a special wicket.

"We looked to play a good brand of cricket. We knew we had to win with a big margin and so we could improve our net run rate so we gave 100% and did what we had to. If we play like this no one can beat us. We have to play like this in the T20 format."

That went over so fast I haven't yet had chance to show you some of that brutal hitting from Rohit and KL Rahul.

You get the impression any bowling attack would have struggled against these India batters today.

Virat Kohli dabs a single to bring Suryakumar Yadav on strike, and the game is ended with one finally lusty swing as Yadav powers the ball straight over the bowlers head for six.

As convincing as they come.
