Pak 91-1published at 12.4 overs
Ouch! Mohammad Rizwan is early on the pull shot and the ball smashes into his grille.
He looks to be fine but he's going to go through the concussion protocols.

With this platform laid, it is now the time to charge, especially with the batting to come for Pakistan.
Decent end to the over for Adam Zampa and Australia with just a single coming from the final two balls.
This is so close at the moment. But Pakistan have a LOT of power in their middle order.
Adam Zampa goes wider but it misses everyone and runs away for four byes.
Good over for Pakistan this.

That is why the bowlers have tried to stay out of Rizwan's arc. Zampa went wider and Rizwan walked across and played a beautiful slog-sweep, high and handsome for six.
Oh, my!
Mohammad Rizwan clears the front leg and plants Adam Zampa over the mid-wicket boundary.
That was huge.

The spinners have bowled four of the five overs since the powerplay. They have gone for 17 runs and claimed the wicket of Babar Azam.

Rizwan is going at a run per ball but it is not through a lack of trying. You then start to question the pitch.
Really good from Glenn Maxwell again with just four coming off his third over.
He and Mitch Marsh have bowled the four overs of the fifth bowler now. They have gone for 29. Australia will be pretty happy with that.
The two teams are taking drinks at the fall of that wicket.
Pakistan have a good platform, but if Australia apply the squeeze here they could restrict them to below par.

You've got to give real credit to Zampa for the pressure he created. You wouldn't see a shot like that too often from Babar. With it being the last ball before drinks you would have thought Babar would have drawn a line in the sand there and then attacked afterwards.
Babar c Warner b Zampa 39 (Pak 71-1)
The pressure tells! Big, big wicket!
After that tight Glenn Maxwell over Adam Zampa had only conceded two singles and a wide and Babar Azam gets frustrated.
He looks to go over long on but picks out David Warner on the boundary. He takes a simple catch and brings out the fist pump and "come onnnnn" in celebration.
Should David Warner have pouched this? He made the ground but it spilled out.

Babar and Rizwan wouldn't scream out to you as the perfect pair in T20 cricket but they are very consistent.

This is the 16th time Babar and Rizwan have opened the batting together and the sixth time they have reached fifty. In four of the last five of those they have gone onto 100 and three of those went onto 150.
Hmmmm. Pretty respectful from Pakistan as they milk Glenn Maxwell for six singles. I thought they might target that a bit more.

Expensive over for Australia and Mitch Marsh with 11 coming off it.
Australia need a breakthrough. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are laying one heck of a platform for Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik and Asif Ali.
What a pick-up.
